Jesus. I can't even get away from political bullshit on Product Hunt anymore. We are better than this, people. @Google, it's a nice idea and I appreciate you making an effort to provide some sort of clarity for those who need it in this insanely weird/crazy world we live in right now.
@chancerr_@google Not sure why you're surprised. Google wants to organize the world's information, and when a bunch of it is bukkshit, that's a big problem space.

Although I understand the skepticism, this is so much better than a completely algorithmic approach, like Google takes with Instant Answer. Because IA are all algorithmic, they are gamed constantly to say things like "Barack Obama is a Muslim" or other nonsense. With this, at least there is some manual checking of the sources that Google presents as facts.

Still skeptical.

Google now curating the truth ~ funny. How can Google be trusted with the truth? Google has a shoddy record with the truth as evident with last year's primary and general presidential elections.
@zajacm They're not. They're just putting fact-checkers work next to where it will do the most good.

@johngpettus Hmm...wonder who funds Snopes, PolitiFact, etc. Need a fact check on that one.

I think they had to do this considering recent media coverage surrounding the elections. Facebook seems be doing similar things too. More to come I expect!
