I've pretty much traded everything privacy related to Google in exchange for the convenience of GPhotos and GNow. Glad to see Apple catching up on some of these things but in GPhotos I trust.

For me, Apple is at least a year behind. The UX of this product on the phone AND in the cloud are (so far) superior for daily use. Yes, the transition from Picasa was confusing... Google isn't super great at communicating - instead it's more of a hey, we made this things... hey user, you are smart like us, figure it out! The cloud interface feels lightweight and modern... and like they are working on it while you are using it. For consumers who are willing to trade privacy for service this is it.

I've been using Google Photos for a couple of months now and it is amazing. Sync works perfectly on all my devices and it is the AI layer on it to search and auto-create albums is amazing. Blows any competiton out of the water. I highly recommend this product
