Google Voice - Ringing in 2017 📞

I've been using Google voice forever… I hope it continues on Googles product line up but you never know...

Is this not available in India?

Only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't automatically detect I'm logged in to other Google apps and ask if i want to use the same account like their other apps do. What gives @google?

Does it mean we can use this as a proper app on our iPhones? I am a big fan of Google Voice but thought it was something they totally forgot about. #LongLiveGoogleVocie

I've been using the new Google Voice for a week now and the updated apps are pretty great. 1. Unified Message Threads are a much better experience. 2. Complete integration of the app into the Android SMS experience is terrific. If you're on iOS it won't replace Messages, but you can have all your Google Voice texts automatically forwarded to your carrier cell number. 3. Simplified options. Sure, you lose from options from GV 1.0, but I think it's for the better. Did I really need custom voice mails for specific people? I tried it once, I admit, but it was never a wide use case for me. 4. The notifications just work. My phone says I have a new message? It's already in the app when I open it. 5. Archiving message is the same as deleting them. Just saying. All-in-all, I'm a huge fan of the update and am so glad Google is taking Voice seriously again!
