Google Wifi - A new kind of Wi-Fi system from Google

What make this product so special, except its from google, which wasn't a manufacture company by itself yet? Other repeaters for WiFi Routers will do the same, isn't it?

The concept of having an app to prioritize, configurate, etc your wifi router is a killing feature. I guess others routers makers will follow soon. I love it :)

"Google Wifi will be available for pre-order in the U.S. in November. " Ugh, so they're joining eero and Amplifi in not bothering to support the rest of the world, thanks Google..

Why not combine this with Google Home? Seems odd to keep them separate, no?

This may actually make me re-tool my network. I've been using Apple for years but they've not done anything with it in so long. This looks very interesting.

How is this any different than Google OnHub?

Love the wifi off feature. I always have to turn on airplane mode when meditating and sleeping. This makes it easier to disconnect from lots of notifications.

What's the Google magic they bring to this? Based on the promo video it sounds like just another router. What am I missing?

Amazing product from Google. Agree with Joshua Pinter. WiFi Mesh technology is the future and Apple is missing the boat on this. I have 4 Google WiFi set up at home and I finally have speed of 150Mbps!! Never achieve that with my Apple airport extreme. Same wifi router and internet plan. Only change was the wifi hub from Apple to Google. Also the Google WiFi app is a really nice touch. Making wifi set up a breeze. It was a pain in the butt to link, unlink, group and ungroup wifi network with multi Apple Airport WiFi units using the Apple Airport Utility desktop app. Plus the Google WiFi app can do so much more like able to assign wifi priority to specific devices or cut off WiFi signal (great feature for parents) and much more. Kudos Google!

Been very impressed with this...easy setup and great speed all throughout the entire home. Only negative so far was the blue light all of the pods puts off...if you have one in a bedroom it can be an annoyance during bedtime. But it was easy in the app to dim the light on that one pod -- so in the end not even an issue. A+ product from Google.
