I've always wondered, does Gumroad help your gig get discovered? Or are they just the platform but you have to do the promo yourself?

@jondotjames They have a discovery section but your product needs to have been approved, had at least one sale and star rating to be included. This let visitors to the ste find your product via browsing/searching but they take a higher cut in fees if bought from the discovery page (unless they've changed that). Otherwise you have to promote your products yourself. (Gumroad has a Circle community/forum for creators that lets you link your products page in your profile, & has self promotion & affiliates sections )
