Over all satisfied with Habitify, with this macOS version, I am so happy that I can now track my habits even when I am away from my phone and watch

Pros:

- My habits is grouped by times of day, help me only focus on my next habits

- Very convenient, it syncs with my Apple Watch nicely

Cons:

- I reported some minor bug but the technical team fixed it right away

Awesome app! For whatever reason, having to mark a habit as complete is definitely a motivator. The macOS version will definitely a yes to me!!

Have been a long-time user as well as a Beta user and I have tried numerous such apps however what keeps me using Habitify are few things as follows: 1.Excellent Sound Design The tactile feedback coupled with audible feedback is the most amazing thing ever. 2. It's satisfyingly good to tick off the habits. Three habits are max for the free version. 3. Analytics Keeps me motivated but could definitely be improved. 4. Dark Mode The UI makes me drool on my iPhone. 5. Good Support team.

@anmol_sarita_bahl Thank you Anmol! Could you tell us how the Analytics can be improved?

@anmol_sarita_bahl Hi there Anmol, those great features and all the others have now been available in Habitify Android, hope you will come and join with us here: https://www.producthunt.com/post...

Strengths become superpowers when they are made into habits. Living religiously by this idea and has allowed me to track my improvement to know that I am better today than I was yesterday. I have been tracking my habits manually in google sheets and iOS notes. This application is way easier, wrapped in a beautiful experience. Thanks for lowering the bar to an actualized self.

@marcojelli "Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit" Thank you for your support!

Let's get this out of the way: It's a great app with the potential to be truly excellent. Many apps are either beautiful, fully-featured, or simple. Very few manage to be all three at the same time. They've been working on their mobile app since at least 2016 (that's when I discovered it), and now the MacOS offering is as wonderfully elegant as a native Mac app.

It's a 1.0, so iteration and improvement is expected, but here is what is needed most in my opinion:

1. There's no way to see all your habits at once.

2. You can't scroll to tomorrow. It just doesn't exist

Here's a possible scenario featuring 1 and 2: Let's say you create a new habit to start tomorrow. Once you create it, there's no way to access it until tomorrow. No master list, and no tomorrow list. Either one or the other is necessary!

3. Give me more options than either the current period of the day (morning/afternoon/evening), or "all." For example, if I don't get to one of my "morning" habits by afternoon, my choices are to either not have it in my view in "afternoon" or to switch to "all" where my list will be cluttered with all my irrelevant evening habits. There should be an option to keep that morning habit hanging on to my afternoon list in case I want to get to it later. My opinion is that there should be custom contexts for habits. Morning/afternoon/evening is a good start, but that may not apply to everyone, and I'd love to add a custom context like "at the computer" for my daily tasks, etc.

4. The English. I understand not all apps are created by native English speakers, but in 2018 there's no excuse for grievous mistakes. The website is one thing, but the mistakes in the app store (and the app itself) need to be fixed. Even the main screen says "all habit."

Finally, why is the word "Journal" editable? Am I supposed to paste inspirational quotes in there or something?

Pros:

Simple, beautiful, small footprint, enough functionality to do its job exceptionally well, great metrics, wonderful user experience

Cons:

no single place to view/edit all habits, horizontal scrolling calendar is awkward, time of day needs more toggles, many English errors

I'd love to have and buy this but it's missing the vital element of automation that exists within the Stride app I currently use. Being able to form habits based around activity, heart rate, meditation minutes logged to Apple Health is important, can we expect this to be available anytime soon?
Tuan (Alan) Nguyen
@codymclain Hi Cody. We've been thinking about this as well. Since bringing them all into one product may be an overkill for many beginners as well as the existing users, we've decided to pilot another app with the same functions you mentioned (especially the automation, which is its USP). It's called Nirow. Why don't you give it a shot and tell us how you think? It has quite a similar UI/UX as Habitify so I don't think getting along with it will take much time.

@tuanmon1604 I just see a 404 error: https://nirow.me/
Alex!
Love the app, and awesome visual design as well. One feedback: since your entire model is centered around users habituating to using your app to build habits, it seems logical that you should tie your payment model into this as well. Let users use the app for free, and once they're using it to build habits, that's when you charge them--since at that point, you've proven your value (or framed differently... a user has built their dependency :D)
Tuan (Alan) Nguyen
@imaznation I agree with you completely! Actually we applied that model in our iOS version. But when we bring it to macOS, our initial thought was that it would be a compliment to iOS users. Worth considering!

Wow, finally the macOS version, thank you for listening to our customer suggestions
Tuan (Alan) Nguyen
@myronchristensen Thank you Myron! We feel a bit guilty because many people have suggested the macOS version a longgg time ago, but now that we have enough resources to do it. Can't wait to hear how you think about the mac version!
Nguyễn Hạ Quỳnh
@myronchristensen ...and finally the Android version, too. Hope you will come by and give us some support: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
