Really like the design. Could totally work for internal communication on projects too. Question: what about comapnies / brands which were born before the digital age?
@pascalmorniroli Great question! We have an option to add a data point without a link to an website.
In the platform: You just hover on New Article and select Blank, then you can fill in whatever you want :)
@cate_lawrence Wow, thanks! Excited to see your timelines. We're here if you need our support

@avishayovadia we're young but we have a great history mapped out if you wanted an easy win/add to the already amazing line-up! check out history.jet.com
@specheva@avishayovadia I think Jet.com is an amazing company with an amazing culture! I would be happy to make a jet.com timeline. It would be a great addition to our collection.

Aside from this being a cool concept, I don't see a clear answer to "What problem does this solve?". Also, not a huge fan of the design. Why do the cards expand into just slightly larger cards when the whole page is open? It makes the content difficult to read, and the timeline does not visually convey anything, other than "a clump of events" happened in 2013. I find myself going, "okayyyy... so?". I'd rather read Wikipedia articles/ search on Google.
@ashwini_sriram First of all thank you for your feedback! We're still in beta stage and can use all feedback to help make Tline better.
To answer your questions: We see the problem as a lack of context. When you read an article you want to know when it all began and how, to get the full picture of the events.
Regarding the design, the “small" cards jump to the Tline and are there just so that you can see all the timelines we gathered for Product Hunt in one shot.
And the "just slightly larger cards” are the actual Tline, we are sorry you didn’t feel it visually conveyed anything we are always working on improving the design.
Interesting. I keep wanting an interactive, visual way to convey my personal career story arc/milestones. Could this be grounds for new, digital resume formats?
Love stories of successful companies. Thanks! One thing I still think is a problem, is providing successful stories of lesser known companies still kicking it. Reason, Google, Facebook and Apple don't need anymore publicity. The little guys do. :) ✌️
Congrats @avishayovadia and team, this is awesome! It's always super interesting (and inspirational) to see the point of inception for such household names. It's easy to forget their humble origins! Thanks for putting this together :)
