Hyperbeam is a shared browsing site that lets you surf the web and watch TV shows and movies together with the people you care about while apart. Free to use (with optional Premium). No download necessary.
@partydoos Hi Partydoos!
A little bit of history: Hyperbeam was originally launched as Tutturu on Christmas of 2019. Here's a link to our launch post on r/RabbitReddit:
You can also take a look at our Trustpilot. We have many Trustpilot reviews starting from May 2020.
In summary, we've been around much longer than Giggl, and have a significantly larger user base (approximately 10x).
Furthermore, we're completely bootstrapped and rely entirely on revenue from our awesome customers! 🥰 Giggl has not yet generated revenue, and is currently reliant on external funding.
Lastly, I believe there is an important difference in our missions. Quoting Giggl's Product Hunt launch in 2020: "Giggl is a new way to browse the web online with friends or teams in real-time using virtual browsers. It’s perfect for watching movies, doing research, interacting with your favorite creators and much more, all in complete privacy and security." Giggl is ultimately focused on providing a general solution (virtual browsers) for a multitude of use cases, while we are focused on a specific problem (helping you nurture your relationships with loved ones).
We hope this clears things up :)
@mertbaser No more embarrassing desktop notifications popping up while you share your screen! 🙈

Amazing product: the ui is clean and nice, super easy to understand, works way better than most similar products I've tried, regular updates which adds new features and support on another level.
Highly recommended if you're looking for something to watch movies/videos with friends!
Glad to see Hyperbeam going well.
I've been an user of their service since almost its beginnings, +1.5 years ago. As a developer of a similar Rabb.it alternative, least I can say is that they've done a good job at managing, ranging from the technical part to the business part, a service like this one, and seems like there's more to come. Good team, good support, good product. A pretty stable and enjoyable experience.
Congrats for the launch :)
@leo15 The 3 hour timeout can be removed if you're a subscriber! Here's a giveaway link for some free premium 😊

PS: After your session times out you just need to wait 10 minutes to get the party started again! 🎉
I have a question. I still haven't tried out the product. So, while sharing my screen on zoom and sharing a video, the video lags a bit (I have a very fast internet connection). Does Hyperbeam lag?
@sayan_chakraborty2 There's a lot of reasons why screenshare can lag! One possibility is that despite having good downlink/uplink, your ISP is throttling UDP. UDP is what's used for video calling, screenshare and Hyperbeam.
UDP is also used for torrenting, which is why some ISPs throttle it. How about you give Hyperbeam a shot and let us know how it goes? If you're facing issues we can look more into it 😊
Easiest way to reach us is via our Discord server, https://discord.gg/hyperbeam

@scottyfillups Yes, I tried Hyperbeam. In my opinion, it's better than sharing screen on zoom. It doesn't lag. Thanks for making this great webapp. Best of luck for the future developments.
@adityasriganesh We have a freemium model! Free user sessions last up to three hours long—after your session expires you need to wait 10 minutes until you can start a new session.
Premium costs $5/month and gives you unlimited session length and a bunch of other perks such as animated profile pictures and custom invite links 😍

Hey guys,
I have been using Hyperbeam for about two years now since its earliest inception and it's only gotten better. I would highly recommend using it as its priced really fairly, you can always contact the members directly or join their discord to discuss features and recommendations as well as interact with them. If you have a group of friends this is definitely the app to use.
