Ignition changelogs help you collect and organize feature requests to better understand customer needs and prioritize your roadmap, and then announce new features to customers via custom branded changelogs. Completely free, for life.
@skosmach Thanks Scott! I'm sure our (super talented) designer is lurking in the comments here and will be grateful for the compliment :). To answer your question -- currently you'd need to create tickets separately in your eng management system, but you can review the feature ideas within your internal dashboard, comment on them, then mark the ones you want to actually build as "planned" as you're creating those tickets. We have a few integrations coming within the next couple weeks though to allow you to push feature ideas directly to tools like Jira, Productboard, etc. when you're ready to add them to the roadmap.
@peter_douglas_ross Amazing to hear Peter! So glad to have you in our corner :). Definitely keep us posted if we can help with getting these pages set up at all!
@ozbad03 this looks super cool. Honestly, we have been looking for a good tool for announcements. This looks a great fit. Shared it with the team and you can count us in :). Good luck for the future.
@mjain_mayank Thanks so much Mayank! Yeah it can be tough to announce stuff with really high velocity in the early days. Glad to hear you feel like this fits the bill and excited to have you aboard :). Keep us posted if we can help at all!
I'm fascinated and can really imagine coming back to this in the future!
Something I'm still not sure about. Does Ignition generate changelog files too or can Ignition read properly formatted changelog files e. g. conventional changelog?
@alexander_eble Super glad to hear you're excited about this Alexander! Would love to help you get up to speed when you do come back around. Re: changelog files -- can you clarify a bit what you mean? Today, the changelogs in Ignition are basically "posts" to announce these release notes, so there's not really any importing of them from other changelog locations. However, we do plan to add some generation tools pretty soon to help with writing them :)

Thanks for the answer, @ozbad03 !
To clarify, I'd really like to see (automatic) import of changelog files in repositories which can be used for proclamations on Ignition in a intelligent way.
Starting points for Ignition could be standardized changelog files based on commit conventions. For example, I use a plugin for the release CLI tool release-it which works on the basis of several presets like conventional commits. semantic-release is similar.

Congrats on the launch! I really like the idea of democratizing features for the product road map and having an easy to launch customer-facing release notes process - will check it out for sure!
