Hi everyone, I'm Darius Tran. Spent most of my career in content strategy and marketing before slowly drifting into the world of building actual software. Joining PH because this community feels like one of the few spaces where builders genuinely talk to each other instead of just posting wins.

The biggest surprise for me wasn't writing code. It was realizing how much of "shipping a product" has almost nothing to do with the product itself. Pricing, positioning, distribution, user conversations, support, all of it eats more time than building the thing. None of the tutorials I followed prepared me for that.

I didn't set out to build a governance platform. I was trying to build something small. An AI told me midway through "you were trying to buy milk and you accidentally built a rocket."

I'm excited to join the community - I've been a lurker for a long time but I'm getting to ready to launch my first product here so I wanted to say hello to you all. I'm a software engineer who's been working on AI since 2012, and I became one of the founders of TensorFlow at Google after my startup was acquired.

I now have a new startup, Moonshine AI, but this is my first time as CEO. Thankfully there's only six of us so far, so it's not too unmanageable, but going from a CTO role to head of a company has been a steep learning curve, to say the least!

It's so cool to see all the great products being showcased here every day, I just hope I can live up to the high bar that's been set. I've learned a lot from the launch guide, but I'd love to hear your favorite tips or words of wisdom, especially from anyone who has launched a free, open-source application.

We do penetration testing for startups and SaaS companies. Seed to Series B, mostly B2B, mostly teams that don't have a dedicated security person yet.

The short version: we charge EUR 3,000, turn around reports in under two weeks, and the report is structured so your engineers can fix it and your auditor can sign off on it. Most pentest firms charge EUR 15,000 40,000 and take six weeks. We built for a different kind of company.

Why we started this

A founder we know lost a Series A because when the lead investor asked for a pentest report, he didn't have one. Not a security failure. A paperwork failure. He'd built something real, had paying customers, good metrics. But no report. The round didn't close.
