I'm J, and my journey into hardware has been a bit non-traditional, coming from economics, product, and AI, rather than core EE. Observing the industry, I often feel like hardware innovation, particularly around component intelligence, hasn't fully leveraged AI's potential compared to software.

I started out as a web developer, then realized that to deliver a truly great user experience, I needed native apps. So I taught myself iOS and Android. Over the last six years, the to-do list app I built has grown a solid base of users.

I was a Data Engineering intern 2 years back and since then I've donned multiple roles -- Data Engineer Intern -> Data Engineer II -> Data Engineer III -> AI Research Fellow -> AI Engineering Manager. The one constant through all this was that I always built were automation systems for various non-technical teams. The one thing I realized was the end goal for these companies were same, but the processes, tools and products that people used were different.
