I'm a software developer from India. I've been building software for years and recently went indie to launch my first product inneRVoice.
It's a privacy-first AI desktop assistant for Windows that helps with technical interviews, meetings, and productivity.
Why I built it: I was tired of switching between ChatGPT, voice recorders, and note-taking apps during interview prep. And every tool out there wanted my data on their servers with a monthly subscription. So I decided to build my own.
Hi everyone , Mark here. I created an account a few months ago, but this is my first post.
Quick question: if I m looking for beta users right now, is Product Hunt a good place to start? How do makers usually promote a product here do you start with a pre-launch page, or only post on launch day? And what actually works (without feeling spammy)?
Any tips or examples would be super appreciated. Thanks!
Hey PH, I'm Dylan. I'm building Four-Leaf, an AI career prep platform that organizes everything around each job application.
The thing that bothered me about existing tools was everyone prepares for interviews by reading answers on a screen. Then they freeze when they have to say it to a real person. Typing "tell me about a time you led a project" and speaking it under pressure are completely different skills.
Hi! I'm Nicholas. I develop farms in New York where we research and grow rare vegetables. We'll be launching our web app Milpa tomorrow to help more people grow their own food. Any gardeners and veggie enthusiasts here?
Hey everyone, My name is Jonathan, and I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I've been a long time lurker of PH, and after 2 years of development I'm finally ready to launch my product. Full disclosure, I'm not really sure how to get some exposure on this platform and this post is primarily to help with that. I saw this forum and figured it would be a good start. I'm a software developer with 20+ years of experience, having worked for Fortune 100 companies, as well as co-founded a fintech startup in London (which failed after 6 or 7 odd years). I have since gone solo and have been working as a consultant while developing my first app, Bookie. If you'd like to read more about me and my motivation you can read my article here.
TLDR, I love coding but became a bit disillusioned with the industry after a while. I understand the why's of investor demands and bottom lines, but somewhere along the way I feel like software has become less and less about the people who use it, and more about what can be extracted from them. I want to build beautiful software that actually makes you want to use it, while solving the primary problem it sets out to. I believe in slow and organic growth, as well as honest software that actually listens to the people who use it, and grows with and for them. I am really excited to launch my product in the coming days. If you're interested in checking it out before, you can find it here.
