e-Privacy by Loginhood - Cookie banners that don't suck

CCPA has created a massive influx of cookie banners. Why do these have to look so terrible and provide so little value to your site visitors? We built a new cookie banner experience to manage CCPA, Facebook Limited Data Use and engage with site visitors.

I HATE those accept cookie banners. This is such a better looking experience for people!

@arishi Its funny how a little UX / UI love can make all the difference! At Loginhood, we always joke that there is no clause within CCPA that says these banners have to look so bad :)

Hey Product Hunt community! We’re excited to share our re-imagined cookie banners, which handle CCPA & Facebook's Limited Data Use compliance through an interface that isn’t a terrible user experience. At Loginhood, we think these new privacy restrictions can actually be a great opportunity to build a better relationship with your site visitors. So we built compliance banners with engaging features like: ✅ Native User Experience - Last time we checked, there was no clause in the CCPA that required cookie banners to be ugly. Loginhood has designed banners that are native to your site experience, creating a welcoming experience for consumers. ✅ Data Collection - Through building our own consumer products, we’ve learned that individuals actually prefer to share data if it helps create a more personalized experience. This inspired us to take the necessity of compliance tools and use it as a way for consumers to opt-into further data-sharing for a more curated, personalized relationship with your business. ✅ Email Capture - By allowing them to choose data preferences to inform the content they prefer or the products they’re interested in, there is an opportunity to drive data-targeted subscription growth. Enable email capture to reward consumers for sharing data and begin creating highly personalized campaigns. Privacy can be a great thing for your website and your readers/customers. Embrace it! This is really cool, and thinking ahead for where privacy is going (also, it feels like it's always changing) while also focusing on driving more value than your standard hellobar. ?makers, maybe an integration? Well done!

@grdeken Thanks Grant! You hit the nail on the head - there are so many new privacy laws (and many more to come). Rethinking how this can be a beneficial experience to your site visitors, rather than a burden, leads to more conversions, repeat orders, and longer time on site. Will DM, would love to help your customers out with this!

This Is such a great idea! With all the new privacy restrictions this is going to be a huge way for businesses to make sure they are reaching their customers and driving revenue!

@martyna_wiacek Thanks Martyna! We agree :)

What’s the best way to know if this FB Limited Data Use issue applies to me? Is it based on revenue threshold or is only for media companies / websites that advertise?
Dean Shapero
@irrvrntvc Thanks Andrew and great question. The FB Limited Data Use / CCPA clause that is going to apply to the most business owners is: over 50% of revenue comes from data targeting. Its a very vague term so many don't realize it applies to them. But if you're an ecommerce company and make over half of your sales as a result of FB marketing campaigns, this applies to you. If you're a content producer and over half of your revenue comes from programmatic advertising, this applies to you. FB is automatically opting-out California visitors from your campaigns if you don't have a tool like this in place, so many people are being impacted without even realizing it. Let us know if you have any more questions!

@dorisferguson Haha thanks Doris! We like to be very to-the-point :) And everyone can relate to how dreadful of a product these banners have become. We appreciate the support!

Imagine surfing the web and being greeted by a sleek banner that actually discloses how your data is being used. Further, imagine that the banner offers customization features to personalize your experience. Well, look no further, because that banner is here. Finally, an ethical company looking to empower people and reward internet users for their data! This is a MUST HAVE FOR YOUR WEBSITE! Experience it yourself on https://womenimpacttech.com/

@mjones38 Thanks Mike! You nailed it: By engaging with site visitors on data collection, you can actually get stronger data than ever before. Our thesis is proving true: when 'declarations' are enabled (the tool for users to share data), we see an extremely high engagement rate. We appreciate the support!
