I've used iubenda for several years now and can't say enough good about how it eased the privacy compliance concerns on several web sites. Love it!

Pros:

Hugely helpful to understand and apply best practices and meet regulatory requirements. Big fan and would highly recommend to small business

Cons:

I haven't mastered the issue of display matching site design and would love some guidance on that point

This tool has helped immensely with our global risk compliance.

Pros:

Great simple tool. Kept up to date. Great resources. Taking a difficult topic and making it accessible.

Cons:

N/A - great product

Just log in, define services, and embed code on the website. Obviously, you can also customize a lot of things. Everything is very modular and intuitive.

Pros:

It makes everything very simple

Cons:

It makes everything too simple

Thank you Francesco!

Thumbs up! Great Italian startup!

Pros:

Great legal support

Cons:

Cons: GDPR version came a little too close to GDPR. $39/month for a text generator Not possible to set IP address as a data type (at least on contact form) Can't have more than FOUR services. A little bit useless for 90% of the websites.
Simon Schmid
@jamesnoland hi James, $39/m is the Consent Solution/Internal Privacy Management product that can be used across the entire account, no matter how many policies are used. The actual privacy policy still has a freemium model on it and if you break through it, it's actually $27/year. We're constantly working on updating - your data type is something I can get done and we usually take suggestions from the help forum, too. When it comes to the usefulness of the free tier, we still have a super, super large amount of free users. Get in touch at simon at our domain and I'll look into your data type issue.

Numerous support tickets raised over the lats 2-3 weeks, and no response. Also, pricing keeps changing, even after subscribing!

Pros:

Looks good

Cons:

Nil support!

Simon Schmid
Hi Michael, we’ve experienced quite the extraordinary spike in support request and are workig through them chronologically. Please share your support email with us on Twitter dm and I’ll see to it. P.s. what’s the price change you’re referring to? We’ve been pricing the privacy policy at free/27$ since the very beginning 6y ago?

If we have to sign up - would you rather say that upfront before even asking for a URL to scan?

These are the reasons GDPR was brought to life.

Pros:

Finally something that can help a layman do the GDPR thing

Cons:

A little fishy, asks URL before sign up.

Simon Schmid
We ask the url so you can get straight to generating your policy :)

Been with iubenda for almost 3 years. Unfortunately, in our case and on several websites it's currently a pain to edit the looks of their cookie consent. It's buggy as hell. I'm okay with that, that can happen, but if you don't answer to any of the queries, that is a problem. Affiliates don't show up either, so don't bother. I'm sorry, I'm pissed off.
Simon Schmid
@koen_adams hi Koen, when it comes to support, we're working around the clock to answer all tickets, we're just getting an amount that is really mind-boggling. Regarding your issues: have you checked out the new visual configurator for the cookie banner? We're closing bugs related to the redesign daily, and happy to close more if you have any for me (there shouldn't be many left). Please get in touch at simon at our domain so I can look into whatever issues you're reporting with affiliates as well.

Really cool tool, and very much needed. Great job guys! Played around with the free plan and after 10min I've converted to Pro. UI Feedback: The generate modal doesn't need to be contain to a max-width, specially because you have really long terminology on the options and most of them need an ellipsis just for an arbitrary max-width. Just let the modal go full width with some margins to still indicate it is a modal.
Andrea Giannangelo
@leozakour Thanks for the kudos and for the feedback too, the services modal is one of the few parts of the site that you're yet to redesign, we'll get to it ASAP and treasure your suggestion : )

I really like the idea of this service and have signed up for a premium subscription. However, feel very let down and will likely now cancel for several reasons:

(1) The privacy policy generator does not allow you to specify the legal grounds for processing data (as is required by GDPR);

(2) my support tickets and forum suggestions have been completely ignored.

(3) the "Internal Privacy Management" tool is utterly baffling and does not seem to allow any sort of export or even overview of the material generated, so there is no way to use it in any practical form - or to collaborate with colleagues. Right now, it seems utterly pointless.

Pros:

Great idea to help companies get compliant quickly

Cons:

Badly executed - the privacy policy generated is not actually GDPR compliant

No support - no answers on the forum or to tickets submitted
