Pretty smart this. Congratulations @vivekk and iZooto! :-) Quick question - What kind of businesses would see an advantage with a drip of push notifications as against a drip email campaign?
Vivek Khandelwal
@_anuragdwivedi Communication where expression is quick and simple - Notifications will work like a charm. For instance, pushing out coupons using drip notifications or event reminders using notifications. Given that push notifications also supports images, you can always convey more. I have seen a bunch of product marketers using notifications for lead nurturing as well and it seems to be working for them really well.

One more question actually. (Clearly I'm thinking email vs. this) What are the un-subscription rates like? Also, how many people block notifications?
Vivek Khandelwal
@abhishek_agarwal Quite a lot. If you just implement push notifications as is i.e you are asking people to subscribe the moment they land on your website, you will almost as many blocks as allows. So you can expect the block rates to be between 5-10%. Unsubscription rates are completely dependent on how you engage with users - You push out too many notifications, irrelevant content, your unsubscription rates can be as high as 10%.

@vivekk Sigh. K.

Perhaps the first on the market to allow non https sites to send notifications without friction. That really helped a lot of folks like us who took time to adopt https! Apart from that a helpful team and quick launch of new features is appreciated.

Slick product (and even slicker GIF!). Congrats, @vivekk and team! I have a couple of thoughts - 1. the push notification space seems rather crowded, 2. most people do not appreciate unsolicited notifications. Given these two, why are people choosing iZooto and how are notifications working for them? Not trying to be mean, just want to understand the space better.
Vivek Khandelwal
@satej_sirur1 Good to see you here. Valid question. In-fact one of the battles we fight constantly is how to help marketers send notifications which people like more-hate-less. Is the space crowded - Yes. Do we have an offering that stands out - I believe yes. We help to over 1000+ marketing teams with this precise problem statement - how to make notifications more contextual. Segmentation that helps you solve for your use case is the key and we have been able to build a product that caters to marketers across industries. As a SaaS product Founder, this would be a great time to give this a spin

guys, something just occured to me. not sure if you know but Sumo (of the Sumo.me fame) launched a push notification service recently. any killer USPs that i should consider before recommending you guys to my friends?
Vivek Khandelwal
@partha_biswal I know. Been a big fan of the Sumo and AppSumo guys. Sumo has always appealed to the blogger inside you. Modern age marketer needs more - and that is exactly what we believe we have been able to build. Targeting with context, is I believe what we have cracked - you can segment by what users did, who they are, what they clicked, saw, visited, viewed. Powerful tools for marketers to up their ante and this is what differentiates us. For instance - you can identify users who read your blog post on content marketing and visited the page which compared Epictions with BuzzSumo but did not signup and nudge with a notification asking them if you would like to consider a trial. Give it a spin and you will be able to find your own reason to recommend this to your friends.
Partha Biswal
@vivekk tell me about targeting with context a little more.
Vivek Khandelwal
@partha_biswal You could segment like this
Partha Biswal
@vivekk oh, this is cool! very, very cool! and Sumo doesn't have this yet?
Vivek Khandelwal
@partha_biswal and then nurture them using notifications like this Does that help?

I used iZooto on my website for quite a while and had an amazing experience. The console is easy to use. The notifications were delivered without any glitch. They do a good job w.r.t. knowledge sharing and introducing best practices through their webinars.

Pros:

Simple and easy to use. Free to get started and get the experience.

Cons:

I haven't come across any.

Looks like Facebook pixel, but out of Facebook.
Vivek Khandelwal
@melkonyanrob Err..Not sure if I understand this. Mind explaining this a bit more?
Robert Melkonyan
@vivekk Tracking your visitors for remarketing, simply what facebook pixel does. But your's is out of Facebook. I like it.

I might as well just use OneSignal which is free. Just thinking out loud.
Vivek Khandelwal
@originalankur You can. The folks at OneSignal have made a great product for developers. OneSignal is an open-ended platform designed for developers that solves generic use-cases and expects you to build solutions on top of it. With iZooto, we want to offer a point solution to solve industry specific problems that have proven to be very effective. For instance, we offer cart abandonment module for e-commerce stores enabling them to send targeted notifications and drive more conversions. Marketers can implement such out-of-the-box solutions with minimum friction during integration. As far as the free part is concerned, we have handled quite a few migrations from OneSignal to iZooto and I guess with increasing sophistication, marketers want more. iZooto essentially fills that gap.
Harshit Agarwal
How difficult is it to migrate from an existing service provider?
Vivek Khandelwal
@harshit_agarwal Easy peasy. If you have a HTTPS website, you just need to setup iZooto and subscribers are migrated automatically. Check this out - https://blog.izooto.com/migrate-...
Shrikant Kale
@harshit_agarwal @vivekk Migrating subscribers is a bit tricky for HTTP websites. If you're taking subscriptions on a 3rd party domain such as yourdomain.onesignal.com, migration won't be possible. For HTTPS websites, existing subscriptions can be migrated automatically without asking for notification permission again provided that they visit the website at least once.
