Where did you get inspiration for this chrome extension? This is awesome. 😃
Jay Singh
@manjirigundala Thanks Manjiri. A lot of things inspired us to develop this chrome extension. The major thing was the stats that we get. We found out since most of the developers use Chrome as their native browse, so developing something in which they can directly test from their chrome browser will help them easily perform cross browser testing. So, ease their efforts we thought of building a chrome extension. Let me know if you're interested in learning more. I'd be happy to elaborate.

Excellent — this is just what I needed (was just searching for something like this today). Nice execution and works very smoothly. I'm a happy camper! Also, after watching the overview, it looks like there is a metalhead on the crew. Cool. 🎧

Hey I am a freelancer having a short-term project, is there a plan for me where i can use the product for a few days?
Jay Singh
@sonalithapa Hey Sonali, thanks for showing interest in LambdaTest. Yes, we have special freelancer plan where you can use LambdaTest for your short term projects. We have days pass in which you can have unlimited access to LambdaTest for 10 days at just $15. We're excited to see you onboard.

I liked the UI, its neat. We are going to use more and more in future. I have a quick question here - you can push issues directly to your bug tracking tool from the platform, which is very helpful, however, the very same thing is not possible form chrome extension. Is this something planned in near future?
Jay Singh
Hey @josephsmith52 , that's a very good idea actually. We have this feature on LambdaTest platform but we still have to bring this to the Chrome extension. Now we have something to bring in version 2.0 of the product 😉 But all screenshots test session taken via chrome extension can also be accessed via the main platform and from there you can mark them and add them in your product management tool right now. Let me know if this works for you. 😄

It worked awesome for me. However, I cannot take screenshot of under development pages. Is it possible to do it?
Jay Singh
@vrindhanair thanks for checking out LambdaTest screenshot extension. Again, we have this feature in our primary web platform, however we still have to bring this to chrome extension. You can take full paged screenshot of your locally hosted or privately hosted pages from LambdaTest platform's screenshot feature. For this you would have to connect your system with LambdaTest servers via SSH protocol based tunnel. We have a easy to use binary application for this called Lambda Tunnel. Checkout this page https://www.lambdatest.com/autom... Let me know if this worked for you 😄

Do I need to have a LambdaTest account to use this extension? 😉
Jay Singh
@ankitrana20 Hey Ankit. Thanks for showing interest in LambdaTest Chrome Extension. Yes, it is mandatory to have a LambdaTest account in order to use chrome extension but it is absolutely free to create an account 😃 . You can manage your test logs, issues for screenshots taken using Chrome Extension using your LambdaTest account. Let me know if you need more information. I'd be happy to help. 😄

The product looks really good and build well to scale but I am really worried about the reviews ,it seems to be fake and made up .Both reviews and users!

Pros:

Great extension for every developer

Cons:

-Nil so far

Han Solo
They ask your email and phone number to sign up. Without that you can't use the extension. Those guys think they're Google or something ? Now way I give this kind of info for a chrome extension. Never seen that before. Definitely sounds shady.
