- Loom allows us to show how our product works to prospects (we're closing more deals and beating the competition)

- It also allows us to train users on our product (we onboard large organizations and it's tricky to do web based training but loom allows us to create sweet little videos)

Pros:

Easy to create product recordings, great for sales demo, product demos, and training. It's a 10/10.

Cons:

None

Loom is pretty awesome, I've used it to conduct usability tests and couldn't believe how powerful a chrome extension could be. I had an issue with a video recorded muted but I will still continue using it for sure.

Pros:

Really easy to set up and use

Cons:

a video recorded was muted

I nerd so hard for Loom. Have become a bit of an evangelist. It's a brilliant tool for creating video messages when sending connection requests on LinkedIn. Wrote a piece about it: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/h...

@lovesaveslives This is so fantastic! I loved your article. Especially the part were you mention making sure not to encroach of someones virtual personal space when creating videos, such a critical point to understand and you've got some fantastic tips here. This is such a brilliant use case for Loom. One of my favourite things working with the team is getting the chance to learn from our users. This article blew me away, its brilliant. I'd love to connect with you and chat further about how you use Loom!

These boys sometimes do some cool stuff...just sometimes. Only kidding. I know they've been sweating around the clock to make killer stuff. Nicely done!

Super fans of Loom here at Corilla and it's basically kicked any other video or video screen capture tool to the side for sake of speed and ease of use. Great work team!

Look is an essential part of my work now. I use it primarily for QA videos that I share in Slack or link in Jira. I have several colleagues who have begun using it, too.

Pros:

Ease of use, Slack integration, routine improvements and updates, responsive developers, quite a lot of features for a browser extension

Cons:

I'd love it for Firefox, too, as I sometimes switch browsers, but not much on the con side really.

We use loom primarily for GitHub PRs, but I am going to start using it more in our Slack channel as well now.

Pros:

So easy to use

Cons:

Not as advanced with editing features

An amazing tool that is completely free! (premium features coming soon though).

It would be nice to be able to change the shape of the webcam video recording (square or rectangle) instead of the circle

Pros:

Easy to use, Fast, Reliable, Possibility to export video without watermark, Free

Cons:

Video quality,

Having been using this for nearly an year now. Use this for customer success and support, and when I put in the links in Intercom chat, the video gets embedded and can be directly played in Chat.

Also great Slack, and Jira integrations. Not a fan of all the new Avatar stuff since that seems a bit hamfisted. If you don't choose an picture, a grey circle just remains on the bottom left of all your videos by default. Having to deselect the avatar option manually isn't great.

But, Loom delivers on what it promises. Makes recording video super easy and sharing it even more so.

Pros:

Easy, Free, and Slick

Cons:

Limited Video Quality and No emphasis Features

Hey Daksh! Glad you like Loom! You can easily turn off the avatars permanently by clicking show advanced options and toggling the "Use Photo for Screen Only" Toggle :) Let us know if that setting isn't persisiting
