Hey Producthunters!👋 This is Thomas, founder of love the brands and this post is for online shopping fans. If you wanted to know what an ex-Amazon guy would to change online fashion shopping, there it is: let’s connect users (you, dah!) directly with the brands they usually buy. As shoppers, we give way too much power to online platforms: of course a lot of money but also our personal and payment data while the brand that actually made the product bought gets close to nothing. My goal with love the brands is to decentralize the experience, providing users with a site that indexes the official collections of the best brands and letting them take care of the rest. In short, think Google Shopping without all the crap and a solid customer service as all products come straight the brands and your purchases actually directly benefit the brands. Future evolutions are already planned like adding a payment API, adding more locale and niche brands (especially green brands) etc… 🌍 Full disclosure: our business model is on commissions (if you buy something after visiting us we get a percentage of the sale, which is still WAY smaller than what brands must pay with other sites) but we have plenty of brands there for free, because we like them and we plan to continue that.
