Congrats team! Curious — what happens when Anna doesn't know how to respond? Does she acknowledge her limits or redirect?

Aleksandr Lavrinenko
@artyom_zhuravlev Hey Artyom! You need to try real hard to get Ann in this situation :) But in case of possible danger or if she believes that human specialist needed Anna can support redirect!

@thxgrey I wish you success in developing the project. It definitely deserves attention.

@artyom_zhuravlev thank you Artyom!

@artyom_zhuravlev absolutely, if there're any signs of harm - it stops the conversation immediately

Really compelling approach to mental health support. The voice-first interaction feels like the right call — much closer to how real therapy works, and I imagine it lowers the barrier to opening up.

As someone building AI for health detection in a different domain (veterinary — detecting cat pain through facial analysis), I'm fascinated by how you handle the balance between genuine empathy and surface-level agreement. The CBT framework sounds like it adds real therapeutic substance.

Question: how did working with a PhD psychologist change your product design assumptions? Did you find that what felt "right" as engineers was sometimes wrong therapeutically?

Anton Ponikarovskii

@go_sakioka Thanks so much! You nailed the key insight - I've been in therapy myself since 2021, so I understood what users need, but had no idea how therapists actually build therapy.

Working with our PhD psychologist was like getting a crash course - I basically became a junior psychologist through our countless calls. The biggest revelation was that therapeutic alliance (the human relationship) matters more than any technique.

Your cat pain detection work sounds fascinating - do you find similar challenges in balancing algorithmic confidence with the subtlety of emotional/physical states that resist clear categorization?

Go Sakioka

Totally relate to the "therapeutic alliance" insight — in our case it's the bond between cat and owner that drives daily usage more than the AI accuracy itself. To answer your question: yes, exactly the same challenge. Cat facial expressions are super subtle, so we use a confidence score rather than a binary "pain/no pain." The gray zone is huge, and we learned that showing uncertainty honestly actually builds more trust with users than pretending to be certain.

@go_sakioka you're right guys! wise conversation!

I would not recommend Lovon.

As someone interested in AI for mental health, here’s my honest feedback:

1. I reviewed your Meta Ads activity over the past few months and noticed that you are not promoting the app itself, but rather a survey website targeting people in vulnerable mental states. To access the survey results, users are required to link a weekly auto-renewable subscription to their card. This doesn’t seem aligned with mental health support to me.

2. I tested the app itself, and unfortunately the chatbot conversation glitches and disconnects every 2–3 minutes. On top of that, it is impossible to complete the onboarding process without first purchasing a subscription.

3. For transparency, could you clarify how user data is handled? In some documents I saw that the Lovon app is owned by Ticket to the Moon Inc., in others I saw some Babayaga Inc. Can you clarify the structure and who is responsible for the security of user data?

Sergey Bakaev

@mark_rozman interesting opinion, Mark! Even though you have doubts, we appreciate it a lot! Thank you!

Jfyi 1) in US sessions can cost up to $300/hour, and we're providing services 10 times cheaper with the same or even better quality (and safety!) 2) you can get a free trial in the app, so please enjoy it any time!

Very interesting idea, AI therapy with voice is very meaningful in today's world. I like the concept of having someone to talk to anytime without pressure.

But I think the AI's voice is very, very important in this product. The tone, feeling, and sound quality can change the whole experience. It should be customizable or different for each user, because everyone feels comfortable differently.

Aleksandr Lavrinenko
@bahricanyesil Hey Bahrican! Thank you for warm words! Customization is on the list, we are working really hard to give users personalized experience!

Anton Ponikarovskii

@bahricanyesil yes you're 100% right, we're going to release huge update soon to enhance personalization

Ilnur Kalimullin

Great idea🚀 I really want to try it!

Anton Ponikarovskii

@ikalimullin Would love for you to try it! Use code PH2026 for a free week (or just tap link on the launch page).

What are you most curious to test - the voice conversations or how it handles deeper emotional stuff?

Sergey Bakaev

@ikalimullin Thanks a lot, Ilnur! Appreciate!

Cruise Chen

Nice launch! will it come with any hardware in future?

Aleksandr Lavrinenko
@cruise_chen Thanks! No clear plans for hardware yet, but let’s see
Sergey Bakaev

@cruise_chen thank you!!

Stepan Solodnev

Congrats on the launch! I've tried a few AI therapy apps before and they all felt like talking to a search engine. The voice-first approach sounds like it could actually change that. Downloading now

Anton Ponikarovskii

@solodnev Thanks so much! That 'search engine' vibe is exactly what we built Lovon to solve - voice makes all the difference.

Would love to hear your thoughts after trying it! What's been the biggest gap in other AI therapy apps you've used?

Stepan Solodnev

@ponikarovskii The biggest gap for me has been depth. Most apps give surface-level reflections but don’t really follow emotional threads over time.

Sergey Bakaev

@ponikarovskii  @solodnev true! thank you for your opinion!

Gabriel S. Souza

Great application, congratulations! Is the agent based on any specific psychotherapeutic approach?

Anton Ponikarovskii

@gabriel_s_souza Thanks Gabriel! Yes - we built Lovon around CBT and Emotion-Focused Therapy as core frameworks. Our PhD psychologist (40+ years clinical practice) shaped how Anna responds to help you identify patterns and gently challenge unhelpful thoughts rather than just validate everything.

Have you tried any therapy approaches yourself - curious what's worked for you?

Sergey Bakaev

@gabriel_s_souza thank you Gabriel!

Kyle

Congrats on the launch! I'm all for anything and everything in regards to improving mental health. I’m curious though, how does this differ from creating a dedicated project in ChatGPT with a specific instruction sets? For example, setting it to be less agreeable, focus on identifying moments of crisis, and then just interacting through voice?

Anton Ponikarovskii

@lunarturtle Great question! The key difference is our therapeutic engine was built from the ground up with a clinical psychologist, not just prompting a general LLM. We use evidence-based frameworks (CBT, EFT) with structured therapeutic techniques, crisis detection systems, and context memory that actually tracks your emotional patterns over time - not just chat history.

Have you tried using ChatGPT for mental health support? Would love to hear how that's worked for you!

Sergey Bakaev

@lunarturtle thanks a lot, Kyle!

Nima Aksoy

Congrats on the launch

Anton Ponikarovskii

@nimaaksoy Thank you Nima! 🙏

Sergey Bakaev

@nimaaksoy thanks Nima!
