Visited the Android App store and came across a barrage of complaints. While the ones related to user experience of the app, and volume of content (or lack thereof) might be legitimate grievances; many others are more in the nature of unrealistic expectations. For instance, one reviewer claims to have used the app's exercises twice daily for a week, but with no results.
You can provide some 'How It Works' advice to nip such queries in the bud. Firstly, it is physiologically impossible to obtain results in one week, when the skin itself regenerates in 6 weeks. Three months would be a more realistic span to observe results. Also, the outcome will depend on the initial condition of the skin. Older users, especially 40+ will have a more daunting challenge than others.
Iron out these wrinkles: temper their expectations, and provide a realistic timeline, in Quarter -Year chunks, for genuine results.
Best wishes to Your venture, going forward.
@chuckbrandt1991 Thank you for your feedback. It depends on the goal of a user. Of course, it's impossible to reduce wrinkles in one week, however, daily facial massage will boost circulation, improve lymphatic drainage, and release muscle tension which would be reflected in less puffiness, skin sagging, and reduction in the appearance of dark circles.
Face yoga has a compound effect, the results accumulate with daily practice. We want to encourage more natural, sustainable, and mindful skincare. But we are still working on improving our programs to add more value for our users.
We will definitely work on our promises to make them more realistic!

Great app for women, what are your next steps in product development?
@new_user_49e5c25805 We have audacious goals and plans, but in the nearest future we're going to add:
- Track your progress feature that allows user to compare their results;
- Improve personalization to fit the goals of every user;
- New targeted face massage courses and more breathing practices;
- New meal plans and challenge options;
- More educational content about skincare, beauty, and nutrition;
- Make-up tutorials.

This app is really useful in terms of content and absolutely breathtaking from the design point of view. To my mind, itβll be particularly handy for young women who want to postpone skin ageing and deal with first wrinkles. However, Chuck Brandt raised a very important issue about unrealistic expectations. I hope that the mentioned comment will help the developers adapt their strategy
@nadya_luch Thank you for your feedback. I agree that visible and long-term beauty results are hard to achieve through natural treatment, however, it's about daily practice, a combination of other self-care practices such as stress relief techniques, nutrition, and an overall healthy lifestyle.

Very nice design, and seems like these exercises will complement my usual evening facial routines nicely. Good job, team! π
@dishaka_tarafdar1 Try to incorporate some daily facial care exercises into your routine, it helps to recharge your energy and relieve stress! Looking forward to your feedback :)
With respect, I doubt that βface yoga exercisesβ would contribute to healthier, younger-looking skin in the long term. Iβll remain open minded but, considering the claims you make, it might be nice to include links to studies that showβor at least suggestβthat face yoga works.
βP.S. Even if youβre a man, donβt be afraid to β¦ try it yourself!β β Maybe they wouldnβt be if you didnβt use such gendered language (βLuvly is a womanβs friendβ, βLadies, you deserve that βMe time!ββ) ;)
You know, by suggesting that this app is meant for women (all the illustrations and photos in the screenshots are of women), you might be contributing to the spread of harmful stereotypesβhopefully unintentionally; that women ought to prize their appearance while men should not care.
@anna_0x Thank you for your feedback. We can share research studies that support the argument that face yoga is effective in delaying skin aging, and improving skin elasticity and muscle tone. Even though the research is limited, there are already some studies: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc... and https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/...
Like every muscle in the body, facial muscles need to be exercised as well, and, if practiced regularly, the results are pretty amazing. Our users are the best validation.
The problem is that people want quick solutions, Luvly is about consistency and daily skincare. If you want results, you need to dedicate your time.
Regarding your comment about the gendered language, I agree with you. We will need to work on our statements not to discriminate against any gender.
By the way, have you tried facial fitness on your own?
