Hi everyone 👋 I’m excited to launch Meow, a lightweight live wallpaper app for macOS. I built Meow because most live wallpaper apps I tried were surprisingly heavy on CPU and memory. I wanted something simple, native, and efficient that just lets you set animated wallpapers without slowing down your Mac. What Meow does: • Set MP4, MOV, or GIF as your desktop wallpaper • Built entirely in Swift for native macOS performance • Low CPU and memory usage compared to most wallpaper apps • Simple workflow: Install → Import video → Apply The goal was to keep the experience minimal and fast while still allowing beautiful animated desktops.
