We just launched Minarah.app for MacOS.
Everyone knows the Pomodoro rule: work 25 minutes, break 5 minutes. Why? Because breaks work. They reset your brain, boost focus, and make you more productive.
But here’s the thing: most of us skip the most powerful breaks available: prayer, reflection, or simply stepping away with intention. That’s what Minarah makes effortless.
For Muslims, these lines up perfectly with Salah, obligatory prayers throughout the day that double as built-in resets for mind, body, and soul.

Honestly? This app just works. I've tried other prayer reminders and they either look like they're from 2010 or spam you with notifications you end up ignoring.
Minarah's full-screen thing is actually perfect – catches your attention without being annoying. The countdown to the next prayer is super handy when I'm trying to figure out if I can squeeze in one more task or should just pray now.
Focus Mode is clutch when I'm in the zone but still want to keep track of time. Only real gripe is the setup was a bit confusing with location stuff at first, and the menu bar icon kinda disappears against my wallpaper sometimes. Would also be cool to pick different alert sounds. Also, the prayer times are generic. I would love if it could be dynamic based on the Local Area Time and schedules (IslamicFinder could be a could integration here).
But yeah, it's clean, does the job, doesn't try to do a million other things. If you need a prayer reminder for Mac that doesn't feel janky, grab this one.

While you can already customize the alert sound, we're still exploring ways to make the dynamic prayer time more accurate based on local time/schedule.
We took note of everyone's experience using the app and will make a few tweaks here and there to better cater to your needs.
