A cutting-edge platform that employs state-of-the-art language models and 3D mapping technology to present vast content spaces visually. No more relying on algorithms to decide what you should see – with Minimap.ai, you choose your own path.
Hey Product Hunt Community!
My team and I have spent almost two years building a 3D content cartography platform that visualizes the content landscape. Minimap.ai spatially organizes content, making it trivial to understand the size and spread of online content. Our first major release focuses on news content.
Minimap.ai makes it effortless to organize and understand content.

I founded Minimap.ai because I was frustrated that even with billions of results in a fraction of a second, chat summaries from the leading LLMs, or the most relevant Wikipedia pages, I always felt lost in the content. We live in a world of infinite content and simply put; I needed something that could group any type of content by similarity so I could see the sizes of each group.
Minimap.ai can visualize hundreds or thousands of results in a way that feels intuitive for the human brain and allows us to grasp the diversity of content with a single glance.
Minimap.ai is currently desktop-only but we’re planning to create a mobile version in the future. Please give it a try and let us know what you think! We’re actively making improvements.

Congratulations @clayton_smith4 on launching Minimap.ai! This is a game-changer for content navigation. The use of 3D mapping to visualize content is impressive and definitely sets you apart! Excited to see how this evolves. 🚀 #PH #Makers
Hey Clayton,
How does the platform decide the spatial arrangement of content, and are there any plans to expand beyond news content to other types of information?
Congrats on the launch!
Hey @kyrylosilin,
We're using our model's understand of content to decide how similar or dissimilar content to any of the topics. We want to add more heuristics to this process to continue to refine the perceived placement accuracy or "0resolution" of the map but that will be on ongoing, evolving process.
In terms of additional content.. YES!! (copied from another comment I left)
As long as we're able to measure how any two things are similar, we can make a map out of it.
Personally, I want:
- ecommerce maps. Like Amazon, Etsy, Ebay
- Academic literature
- Medical. like PubMed
- Music. It is literally my dream to map out my playlists in the content landscape so I can find more music 😂. Very different models needed for this than the ones we're currently using but it is a tractable problem for sure.
- legal and compliance documents.
I'm def listening to the feedback. I'd love to know what you'd like to see.
@kyrylosilin New idea. We could create a map of Product Hunt if we can get the data

Wow, this looks super helpful! The amount of content online can be overwhelming, and being able to see everything organized visually sounds like a game changer. Love that it helps make sense of the content chaos. Congrats on the launch, Clayton!
@liampatrick THANK YOU 🙏
In early early iterations of the map, I was mapping reddit posts. The map made it super easy to profile accounts by highlighting an account's posts. I'm hoping to bring that back so people can get a sense of their news providers before having to read dozens and dozens of articles.
Absolutely love the vision behind Minimap.ai, @clayton_smith4! 🎉 The concept of visualizing vast content spaces is a game changer for how we engage with information. It's refreshing to have a tool that empowers users to navigate content without algorithms dictating their experience. Excited to try it out and see how it can transform our content discovery! Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the mobile version as well!

This looks really interesting, @clayton_smith4! I'm curious about how the 3D mapping works in practice. How are the visualizations generated, especially for different types of content like news versus other categories? Do you have any plans for user-customizable features in future releases? Also, what are your thoughts on how this approach might impact content discovery compared to traditional algorithms? Looking forward to learning more about Minimap.ai!
This looks super interesting, @clayton_smith4! Can't wait to see how it maps out the content landscape. Finally, a way to visualize the chaos! Upvoted!
This is an impressive launch, @clayton_smith4! The concept of visualizing content with 3D mapping will change how we interact with information. It's refreshing to see a platform like Minimap.ai that empowers users to navigate their own content paths rather than relying on algorithms. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves! Upvoted!
