We can do so much more in the Product Hunt community

by

I joined Product Hunt about 2 months ago, and ever since receiving my first compliments and comments on our recent product launch, I’ve truly felt how nice and supportive people here are. Everyone seems open to discussion, willing to help, and genuinely curious about what others are building.

At first, I thought it would be really hard for a newcomer like me to join such a big community. But it turned out to be much less strict than I expected - actually, it feels like a place with so much potential for us to grow together.

Every day on Product Hunt, I feel like I’m learning or discovering something new. It’s not just about upvotes. It’s about ideas, feedback, and seeing how others think and build.

I really hope Product Hunt won’t only have offline events, but also more online meetups or discussions, so we can connect with even more people around the world and do more meaningful things together.

I’m truly grateful for the first friends who interacted with me, shared feedback, and supported our launch. I hope this community keeps growing stronger, with more opportunities for collaboration and shared activities.

Also… I guess I need to be more consistent with my streak. I already lost it twice just because I went offline on the weekends 😂

So I’m curious:

  • What made you join the Product Hunt community?

  • What have you gained from being here so far?

  • And what do you hope to build or grow within this community?

Would love to hear your thoughts 💛

I really enjoy your thoughts and writings. :) You keep them short, and they say a lot.

When it comes to me:

  • Like you, I also appreciated the entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit of this community and wanted to learn about the latest technological advancements among the first.

  • It sounds weird, but I gained a sort of popularity/recognition. But foremost, I met so many interesting people, like @sandradjajic , @zaczuo, @conduit_design and much more.

  • I hope to meet even more people and get to know them in real life abroad.

It has totally changed my life, because with some of them I had calls, interviews, and even co-organised a hackathon.

I’m building a SaaS, and Product Hunt is where I learn how other product makers validate ideas, prepare their products for the launch, and work on improvements. It also lets me discover products I would have completely missed otherwise. The community is warm and curious, not performative. People actually want to help, share context, and give thoughtful feedback, which is rare on the internet these days.

@alina_petrova3 We have the same feeling. I'm so happy that you can learn and have your own experience in here. Hope you'll be successful with your project, Alina

I was told PH was much bigger some time ago and that in my friend’s word is now “dead.” Being new myself, I’ve found great discussions and topics that I found helpful. I am curious to know from older users if what my friend said has some truths to it and if so, what has changed? What I can confirm is that when I check on Ahrefs, there’s a big downward trend in monthly traffic on PH.

I joined the community as I was looking for a space to chat and spar with like-minded people. As a first-time builder, working on CoreSight (soon to be on Product Hunt too), I'm glad there is a space online where I can meet passionate builders, learn from experienced founders, and ask for feedback & advice.
