Being a fan of filtering out unnecessary information I very welcome this product. Too much irrelevant information is a disease of our times. Bravo, Pieter! My upvote is with you.

There is power in being deliberate in what you consume, but it's also a large responsibility to go out and find out what it is you don't know.

It's very possible that people could mute everything and block opportunities or information that could broaden their worldview.

Pros:

It's empowering to not be exposed to too much of what we can't change.

Cons:

It leaves it up to people to find what missing in their information bubble.

engagement seems like it started and ended with the day it got big on product hunt. I recommend an email newsletter called "the new paper" which seeks to limit bias as much as possible and give summarized news. I get to hear things factually without analysis.

Pros:

Gave me good ideas to reclaim my Twitter. I can always hop on my second account if there's a good reason.

Cons:

- subject to "the reddit problem" https://youtu.be/rPiF475oSc4: therefore visibility for both upvotes and downvotes would be nice
