NeevaAI - Search powered by AI to get answers, not ads

I’m already a Neeva user and subscriber. It’s a superior search product that is only getting better with the addition of “NeevaAI” The most important feature here is citations, which give links to the source materials used in constructing the answer. I think that’s a strategic master-stroke for three reasons: 1/ Gives me confidence as a user in the provenance of an answer 2/ Allows me to dig deeper for more information or to understand nuance in the source material 3/ Keeps Neeva aligned with publishers. Other search engines monetize via advertising decorating the results. This creates incentives to hide citations for two reasons: a) more unpaid links = less monetization b) creating derivative content and decorating it with ads would/will incite a tidal wave of copyright lawsuits And while “AI” is a neat feature, it’s just the icing on top of the superior cake that is Neeva. neevaAI is a great step forward in search engines. It gives me answers and relevant links without being corrupted by advertising or exposing me to privacy violations. It still has some less-than-perfect aspects, but it’s constantly improving. And it looks great.

Neeva is my primary search tool and has been since I accessed as an early beta tester. Serious privacy, no ads, Spaces, Bias Buster, astonishing communication with users, and now Believable AI.

AI Summary is an important step forward. It makes search more efficient. Citations are an essential feature because they let you verify what you read. I'm a total fan of the Premium edition. I like the idea of paying for what I use in dollars instead of ads and privacy.

Search engines today are fast. Yes, but no. Every day, all search engines are getting faster and faster. But at what scale? It's just at a scale of millisecond level. We, as users, no longer notice such 50ms wait time improvements. However, all significant critical frictions in everyday searches continue to exist. For example, in today's popular search engines like Google, you still get annoying ads, and you must live with tracking and privacy compromises. Not to mention the ten blue links you have to work on to determine whether they have the info you need. That's likely at least 30 minutes a day wasted while you're left with questions not answered or even not asked if you hesitate to ask due to tracking and ads that will follow you on the internet. Neeva changes the scale of speed in our search experience fundamentally. How? 1/ NeevaAI gives you precisely one answer, summarizes the essence of top sites, and provides visuals; altogether, NeevaAI boosts ways to get answers and expand your knowledge. That's the core value we all expect from a search engine, and Neeva delivers it. I'm a fan of the direction Neeva is going in here. Using AI to give me a TLDR summary (with URL "footnotes") as a chunk of content above a traditional search results listing is a helpful experience. I look forward to seeing how they and others make the presentation, curation, and sorting of the search results themselves even more informative. Like an AI summary qualifier per link, for example "Read this article first if you are interested primarily in detailed tech specs" etc.

Neeva was already, without question, my favorite service these days. Neeva's privacy-first philosophy is simply unmatched. Their search features do more than simply compete with Google and the rest of ISPs; they leave them all in their dust. And all without sacrificing the users' data and privacy. But NeevaAI? Oh. My. God. 9 times out of 10, I get exactly what I need from it's results. I cannot remember the last time I got to the bottom of the results page, let alone had to click "next." NeevaAI is a game changer, and proves once again that tech companies don't have to abuse people's information in order to come out on top.

Very excited about more conversationally iterative approaches to search — where you can discuss what you're seeking and the engine can work with you to produce an answer (or set of answers) to your query. Neeva.ai is the first to launch — but watch for Bing (and Google) to launch their own efforts in this space. 👀

NeevaAI is what search should be - helpful results without all of the ad noise or privacy concerns! I get exactly what I want without having to filter through unwanted ads or worry about my data being shared elsewhere. One of my favorite features (which doesn't get a lot of attention) is the ability to index my personal accounts (i.e. Gmail, Google Drive, etc.). I find Neeva does a better job searching for my personal content then Google! As an early beta user, I've been using Neeva almost since the start and have been delighted with the team's vision and the evolution of the product. I've found that NeevaAI brings the power of LLM with the peace of mind of citations. This is the future!
