Interesting, yet simple approach. Worth trying

Very cool. I love that this division of time works better with a sleep cycle. And super simple and clean UI, nice!

I've had access to newDay for several weeks. It feels like a perfect quarantine project as I've got fewer anchors to the outside world. 100 minutes feels like a great size for productive work chunks (YMMV) and it feels more important than ever to set intentions for time, to avoid falling into mindless internet browsing for the whole day.
@matthew_bunday Thank you so much for the comment and all your support along the way. It also helps me to stay out of the mindless territory, which is... exactly where I don't want to go. hah.

super helpful for those billions of us with heaps of time on our hands and a desire to breathe life into it
I've been using this for the past couple weeks and really love it! One thing I wish it had was notifications for when the time block is ending so that I can switch context better
I really like the creativity and boldness to re-think how we track time. I'll be trying this out during the lockdown. Congrats on the launch @the_esc !

I really like this new concept of breaking down the day into 10 chunks, and setting the intentions for each! Very clean interface and weather is a great touch. Some suggestions from my end:
- Ability to create Templates which would be really cool, as some tasks are recurring
- Ability to add reminders on certain times
- More keyboard shortcuts, such as toggling between days or 'the number chunks' (for example, pressing "CMD + 2" / "CMD + 7" will bring me to the 2nd or 7th time slot respectively)
- (Also suggested by other users) create a checkbox feature which will allow checking off completed tasks, and integration with apple calendar perhaps?
- More display font options
I am excited to use this promising app further, to help me fight off procrastination during this period!
@lee_yi_wei Hey! I am just getting to your comment now sorry for the delay. Great ideas and feedback, this is really helpful and appreciated. There's a secret hotkey for day toggling: "control + comma" and "control + period" I also just integrated google calendar, haven't done Apple yet.
@saulo_vargas Thanks that's an awesome offer. Not open source yet.

What I would love is the ability to track and display what I intended vs actually did.
Currently, you set up your intentions for each hour. Others were talking about playing a sound or a message at the end of the hour. What if at the end of the hour it also asks you to summarize what you accomplished (bonus points for mood tracking). Your summary/post-intention can be displayed in the bottom half of each hour.

Another cool feature would be to link to a list of motivating videos/soundscapes appropriate for each hour (i.e. wakeup/energize in the first hour, focus in the second, .. calm down/reflect in the last hour)
Ideally links to such lists would be supplied (crowd-generated / curated/upvoted), but also personally curated lists to start
@lbailey45 Love the way you are thinking - this is definitely along the lines I want to take the product where it lines up relevant content or "scripts" that you can run at each newHour of the day to get you on the right track. There are now sounds "chimes" you can play once at the beginning of the newHour or even every 4 minutes. Check it out in the settings cog.
