1.0 brings a complete redesign to Obsidian. The new design is not only more beautiful to look at, it's also more robust, accessible, and easier to theme.
Plus, a new way to browse your second brain: tabs. Tabs make it easier to explore many ideas at once.

If you don't yet know or haven't tried out Obsidian, do yourself a favor and try it out.
- From an old user of RemNote and Logseq, before landing on Obsidian, and so far I had 0 concerns (while previously I would have encountered at least 1 bug per week or even every few days, suffered from data loss, and various other frustrations.

Obsidian is simply one of the best, if not THE best personal knowledge management software on the market today.
Congrats to the tool that gave my PKM journey a fresh restart, after more than a decade spent in Evernote-land! π π
On a more personal note, I have no more reason to put away the book draft I began compiling last year: https://p5v.gumroad.com/l/write-... - I will only need to update all screenshots now π
I've been an Obsidian user since Sep2020βIt's crazy to see how much it has grown. Out of all of the applications I interact with, Obsidian is by far the most essential to my daily life. I just want to thank the team and community for creating so much damn value to people like myself. Cheers to hitting 1.0!
I love using Obsidian to keep track of all my notes and try to bring order to my chaos! Love these new updates!

Obsidian is one of my favorite apps of all time. Been using it for over a year and it is now a solid version 1 even though it's been working great for the last year in very workable betas. The community is very helpful and the community plugins are amazing, I have 51 plugins installed. The tabs and tab stacks really make organizing easy. And the mobile app on my iPad is a very good companion to the desktop app.
Congrats! I've been using Obsidian v0.15.9. I don't think I have been using Obsidian to its fullest ability (like bi-directional links, knowledge graphs, templates, and a bunch of plugins), but I really like how fast it is to quickly jot down notes, add #tags, see all the notes related to the tags, use some markdowns, and copy a bunch of code snippets into the doc. The new Tabs feature is awesome and the UI is a lot cleaner.
