congratulations on the launch of starsearch, james, desigan, gregor, and brian. i'm curious, how does starsearch handle the privacy of contributors while providing such detailed insights into their activities and contributions?

@mashy, today we only show handles. Personally identifiable information about their employer, location, etc., is not being embedded or recalled from our data. This means the experience is limited to data until we figure out how work with the highest standards of data protection.

@p_val Thanks! Large repos with complex histories are handled pretty well. We're focusing on contributors and contributions first, and will expand to other areas.

@p_val we currently do not look at anything besides the default branch today as well, do not look further back than 12 months.
