Ah, I wish I had this when I was fundraising. Any thoughts on open-core?

@yannis_moore1 Thanks Yannis!

Wow, Steph & Lucas, this is a game changer! A free DocSend alternative with analytics? Count me in! Just when I thought keeping track of pitches couldn't get easier. Can't wait to see how this boosts my fundraising efforts. Upvoting hard on this one! 💪

Exciting launch @stephnass! OpenVC Decks looks like a must-have tool for keeping investor files organized. Competitors like Carta, DocSend, and others in this space should take notice.

As a bootstrapping founder -- big thanks for building a free tool! I'd much rather spend more money on making the customer happy than on optimizing for VCs (with all due respect ofc)

I gotta say, this seems like just another DocSend copycat, honestly, why would investors use this over something they've trusted for years, the analytics sound nice but do founders really need another platform pulling data they might not check anyway, good luck with it though.
Steph Nass
@akshaytechpro Hey Akshay, we're actually pulling the data into your CRM, so you will see it and use it. That's the big difference with DocSend and similar products that already exist. Here's a quick video demo I recorded: https://x.com/StephNass/status/1...

So another tool to clutter my founder's toolbox, isn't this just another way to add more tracking and less actual pitching time, I'd love to see how they'll handle data privacy, thoughts anyone?
Steph Nass
@cookidict Tracking and data privacy is the same as DocSend or similar product. How would it affect pitching time? Happy to hear constructive criticism if you have some to offer.

So another DocSend copycat huh, wonder how this one's gonna be different, does it do anything special or is it the same tired story? Also, how's the integration with your CRM any better than what's offered by existing platforms like DocSend or SeedLegals? Just trying to see why we should switch, really curious if it's actually worth the hassle.
Steph Nass
@customerchampion AFAIK DocSend doesn't integrate with your CRM. I haven't used SeedLegals so cannot comment. I'd say if you haven't already started using a deck solution, it is worth the try. :)

So now we need another tool to track our tools, sounds like a never-ending cycle of new tech that just complicates things, but hey good luck guys
Steph Nass
@kenchanaco It's more about removing tools. With OpenVC, you have your investor list, CRM, and decks all in one place and they natively communicate with each other. No more back and forth between tools piecing the information together or exporting sheets.
