What's the best way to free up the most space quickly on Mac?
by•
With OptiClear, I found that the biggest space hogs are usually:
1. Duplicate files (especially photos)
2. Old .dmg files in Downloads
3. App caches that build up over time
What's been taking up the most space on your Mac? Would love to hear from the community!

Honestly, old Xcode simulators and iOS device backups are the hidden culprits that catch people off guard — those can be 20-50GB without you realizing. After those, your list is spot on: duplicate photos are almost always the #1 space hog for most people. The fact that OptiClear handles all three of those categories natively is a solid selling point. Would love to see "Xcode junk" added as a category too — indie devs would flip for that feature!

@gaurav_singh91 That's a fantastic suggestion, Gaurav! Xcode simulators
and iOS backups are indeed massive space hogs that many
developers forget about. Adding an "Xcode Junk" cleaner
is now officially on the roadmap! Thanks for the feedback 🙏
