Combining AI Detection and Plagiarism Checking to determine the Originality of a piece of content. A modern plagiarism checker built for serious web publishers and the most accurate AI Detector capable of detecting GPT-3 and ChatGPT-generated content.
Hey Jon -- took the plunge. I've been a customer, and newsletter follower, for a while - plus, we're in the same province! We chatted once about spas lol. Anyhow, i see skepticism for the tool from online chatter which asks "how are you able to verify the AI"...are you plugged into OpenAI's AI etc etc? Perhaps you can explain further?
@alex__bo Hey Bo, thanks for checking out the tool. The tool is not 100% accurate... it is 94% accurate on GPT-3, so I get some writers' frustration when someone writes an article and the tool identifies it as having a high probability of being AI-generated. The way Originality.AI works is it is our own AI we developed and trained on a TON of data from all NLP models (GPT-3 etc) and it learned how to detect AI generated content vs human content. So we were plugged into OpenAI to generate the training data but it is our own AI that detects it.

@jon_gillham thanks for that explanation. I will definitely use it. My site took a hit in the spam update even thought using writers but it has recovered. However this will be useful for outsourced writing but working on better ways to find the right talent and knowledge. A friend demo’ed it with a 1 publish output of copyAI and basically the tool said 100% AI. I’m a Justin belieber lol
Great product! Thank you for the 500 free credits! Though it's exciting to see all the business opportunities with AI, it is nice to see that there are tools out there that can detect content written by AI. I'm sure many copywriters are singing your praises right now!
@michael_murphy2 I think some copywriters are and others that liked to use AI when the publisher may not have wanted them to are NOT happy with us :)

Here is what ChatGPT think about it 😄:
"I can tell you that it is possible to create a model to detect text generated by me or other language models like me, by fine-tuning a model like ChatGPT on a large dataset of text generated by the target model, and then using that fine-tuned model to classify new, unseen text as having been generated by the target model or not.
It could be useful for example in the context of detecting AI-generated content on the internet, for example, to detect bots in social media or to identify AI-generated text passages in a news article.
Additionally, it's worth to mention that even if the tool detects the text is written by a language model, that does not mean it is a bad text, it could be a way to detect machine-generated text for certain use cases, but it could have a lot of benefits such as writing summaries, summaries with concise information, or even in some specific tasks such as customer service, where repetitive answers could be handled efficiently by language models."
