Automate sold-out product sorting for Shopify collections
Hey Product Hunt 👋
We’re launching Outranked this Wednesday.
It’s a Shopify app built around a simple but costly problem:
sold-out products keep taking up valuable spots in collections.
A lot of teams handle this manually, with internal workflows, or with rule-based automations — but merchandising still ends up needing oversight.
We built Outranked to help merchants:
- automatically push sold-out products to the bottom
- choose which collections to sort
- exclude products by tag
- get email / Slack notifications when sorts run
- track collection health and sort history
- set low-stock alerts with custom rules
I’d love to hear how others here handle this today:
1. Do you hide sold-out products, push them down, or leave them visible?
2. Are you using Shopify Flow, manual merchandising, or something custom?
3. What usually breaks first: automation, visibility, or follow-through?
Would love feedback before launch, especially from Shopify merchants, operators, agencies, and app builders.
