Oyster is a distributed talent management platform that is rapidly revolutionising the way companies access the global talent market. With Oyster companies can hire employees compliantly around the world both as full-time employees and contractors.
How do you guys handle expenses as an intermediary? For instance, Upwork issues invoices from their corporate entity which represents a traditional B2B relationship in some countries. How do you account for payroll paperwork-wise?
@no_fear_inc Great question.
We handle expenses for employees as a simple adjustment to net pay. Our interface lets the employee submit their expenses which the hiring manager or people team can approve. There’s no “paperwork".

Loved it,
now I can enjoy tax benefits and I'm not a contract employee any more thanks to oyster for making it easier @soorajchandran_
@soorajchandran_@nikhil_p_sathyanathan Same here, @nikhil! Before I was employed through Oyster, I officially a contractor but acting as a full-timer, just without all the perks and benefits. Game changer!
