Passbase - First of its kind no code identity verification engine

Hi @markdrake For Document Authentication we require a user to take a picture of their document from a webcam or phone camera. Once the image is submitted we complete a document-specific list of security feature checks. Some common ones are MRZ-checksum, Hologram checks, Template Matching, and references against lost & stolen document databases. While live video chats with agents are common in some markets, we tend to focus on more auto-identification solutions with a human in the loop if escalation is needed.

Hi @jade_lemonade - straight from the webhook settings you can set up a 32 character secret to make the data transfer more secure. We also have two sets of API keys; publishable and a private one to add more security to the data exchange.

Hi @magnusja - Great question! From a privacy standpoint we gather the consent to process, manage, and store biometric and identity information directly from the user during verification process. We also allow for data localization upon request. In that way we are covered from a GDPR/CCPA standpoint. We invest a lot in our infrastructure and internal processes to ensure we keep users data safe. We have a full red team, generous bug bounty program, and are in the final stages of our ISO270001 and SOCII certifications. Lastly, we're moving towards a more decentralized architecture over the coming months/quarters to ultimately give consumers control over their identity information in a self sovereign format.

@prasad_kawthekar Great question. Firstly, we don't share your information with any other service unless you explicitly consent to do so. All verified identities are inherently portable between services but only with consent. We use a facial biometric check to ensure its still you before sharing information between services!

@nikolaus_volk We can cover US DL and Passports along with 6000 other documents! The full process for ID Auth, OCR, Facematch, and Liveness takes 90 seconds on average.
