Peaks provides a deep understanding of your circadian rhythm, a scientifically-backed daily cycle influencing your body functions. With personalised routines synced to this rhythm, Peaks empowers better sleep, increased energy, and enhanced productivity.
This reminds me of Rise, which i had hit or miss success with, but I'm going to give this a try! I definitely want to do more sleep optimization. How does it track my sleep?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts @britt_joiner! Peaks connects with Apple Health to get information about your sleep. If you track your sleep using an Apple Watch or a Sleep Tracking app everything will work right away out of the box. If you use neither Peaks allows you to enter Sleep and Wake Times in the App.
Getting good sleep is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself, I'm glad to see an app that supports that. Congratulations on the launch! π
@clemens_vogelhaus I bought X amounts of health watches to solve this. But the end result is meh. How is this different?

Hello,
Congrats for you launch !
Does your app helps detect the types of chronotypes people have?
For example, I am more productive in the evening, and when I learn about chronotypes I wondered how to take advantage of this knowledge and understand more my circadian cycle to be able to sleep better (and feel less guilty of staying up late to work).
Have a good launch ;)
Hey @dib258,
thank you for your comment. I definitely feel the guilt of staying up late. π
Since more then half of all people are of the chronotype Bear we decided to optimise Peaks towards this type. However the app is able to also provide great insights for all other chronotypes.
In the future we definitely plan on detecting each person's chronotype to provide even more personalised guidance.
Such an important area where the right data can make a huge difference. At Shimmer, our members are adults with ADHD (that struggle with sleep, circadian rhythm, etc.) so we think about this problem a lot! Would love to connect offline, but curious from an app perspective, how the UX worksβwhat things are detected automatically and what things need manual input? A challenge for our community is manual input and remembering to do that!
Anyhow, congrats on the launch!
Hey @christal,
when designing the app we wanted to make sure that there are as little manual inputs as possible needed. That's why, if you use a fitness tracker (Apple Watch for example) the app just works. This also applies if you use one of those sleep tracking apps, which you leave on the bedside table or under your pillow. As long as there is data in Apple Health we use it. If there isn't people can put in there sleep and wake times manually but we have found that only a small percentage of users ever need to do that.
Would love to connect offline and learn how people with ADHD would benefit from Peaks. You can reach us at any time via our website https://www.vogel.haus/.
