@divisha_upadhyaya great question! Probably the most important one out there.
Your photo is first encoded, and then is transmitted securely to our servers only when it needs to be processed by the neural network (e.g., enrollment or rare verification) and is encrypted using military grade AES/GCM cipher. There is end-to-end encryption and nobody can see this image but you.
The image is handled very carefully, and is encoded + encrypted :
Sent over TLS (HTTPS)
Processed in memory with AI
Not stored as your long-term “secret”
What we retain is an encrypted neural embedding/signature and an encrypted version of your image, locked with a specific key that only your account has access to.

PicKey's Visual Master Keys are certainly stronger, yet easier to use. However, i'd request you also consider MagicPass passwords (managing passwords without ever storing them). If no password data is stored (not even encrypted), it won't be attacked.
That is also an important aspect of PicKey's security model.

How did you find the MagicPass feature? (managing passwords without ever storing them).

@gaurav_upadhyay1 I liked the MagicPass idea, especially not storing passwords at all. It makes things feel lighter for the user and safer at the same time. It’s nice not having to think about where passwords live anymore.
