I'm often skeptical of the reviews I see on places like Amazon, where people who are connected to the vendor or people who don't know what they're talking about post their random impressions. You often have to wade through too much junk to find useful information. I like that Primary pulls in more detailed information from enthusiasts who are commenting on other platforms. The information is more detailed and more reliable and helps me make wiser decisions.

@timothy_dalrymple We agree and think this is one of the best parts of healthy forums – community accountability and moderation.

Clever, and I like that it will pull up the reddit threads even for product areas that they don't currently cover.

@eta Cool, I'm glad you found that feature! It's a bit "I'm feeling lucky" but sometimes there are some real gems in there. It's one of my favorite features :D

Smart product that leverages more reviews providing a more thorough perspective of whatever you're looking to buy. Reestablishes trust in reviews.

@andy_kim1 Thanks for the comment! One of my favorite things about it is the thoroughness of some of these comments for sure. I like to say by embracing the "mess" that doesn't fit cleanly into the # of stars, you get something much more real!

I wish I had this when I was scouring forums over a decade ago when I was building up my guitar gear collection.

@tim_liu3 Even Loki can't go back in time, but there's always the future ... or some version of it.

I LOVE this idea -- I always have to google reddit reviews about the skincare products I want to purchase, and those reviews get buried DEEP.
Alyssa Caulley
@sam_carow I swear the gold is always on like page 10 of a forum thread, ha. It's such a delight to bring things to the surface that are so thoughtful, but so buried like you said. Thanks for the comment!

I'm excited to use Primary. Having expert product content at your fingertips makes researching so much easier.

Hi Product Hunt! We love making products that are simple, easy-to-use, and helpful so feel free to give us feedback on how to make the extension even better for you!

Just wanted to let folks know that @simplrdesign is *the best* listener and has no ego about products she designs. She will kill an idea she loves and move on based on feedback better than anyone I know (even though her designs and ideas are wonderful :D). So feel free to send her questions, thoughts, advice, whatever!

I must admit, I'm not big on browser extensions, but I really enjoy Primary. I wish your team the greatest of success!
Paul Lee
@lowe_custom_guitars Thanks, Brad. A lot of us on the team feel the same way about extensions, which is why we decided to collect zero personal information from the extension, and are spending a lot of time on performance to make sure it doesn't slow the browser down.

@pakile It's been a really enjoyable experience all around. I'm planning to promote it on a few different forums...thank you for a really enjoyable experience!

I was looking for surround speakers with particular space and aesthetic considerations and the forum posts I found through Primary helped me feel better about ordering the Bowers & Wilkins CI Series AM-1 speakers.

@oocyteboy Paging @ecaulley (my husband) – seems like you two would get along ;).
