I used to love product hunt because it gave you a chance to discover new, amazing products from startups. Nowadays it's overrun with big budget products we all already know about. I don't want to come to product hunt to see Super Mario Run. I want to see what great things startups are brewing up. Sadly those low budget projects get buried deeply in the content and the people who invest the most money get the most upvotes/recognition. I've seen lousy products (with financial backing) have hundreds of upvotes, and amazing products struggle to get past 10. Oh well. Just hoping this is something you guys work on. Making it so that low budget products see the light of day.

A W E S O M E. Keep up the good work PH team.

Pros:

Instant feedback directly from the invite only community help creaters find the product market fit early in the product development .

Cons:

Might consider making the product detail model box as full width to the screen viewport and move the close icon to right side then A/B test.

I know I'm late on this, but congrats on the launch @rrhoover and team! Great to see PH continuing to grow in a number of directions. I especially love the "Social Links" and "Reviews" aspects of this update; taking something and making it social in a way that is serendipitous but not invasive is always a challenge, but it seems that a great balance has been struck here. In some ways, this makes me think back on this piece I wrote on Product Hunt a couple years ago, re: "the sophomore effort" and those updates: https://medium.com/startup-grind... Now seeing PH on their "fourth album," it's great to see an evolution of their music without losing track of where their roots are, i.e. in their community. I'm intrigued to see what the next big update will look like, and excited to dig deeper into the new features!

Thai website spread about all good ideas but its own website mobile version is terrible. It doesn’t look good. Pages doesn’t fit well. Even this page where I am writing doesn’t go well. It seems like I am accessing a website from 1980s. Really I mean cant they have a perfect mobile website version of their webpage. I mean they asking to judge whole world innovation on this platform?

Pros:

Good idea

Cons:

App mobile website is terrible Almost nothing near to good experience.

Twitter auth isn’t working on the iOS version of the new app.

I am used to open a link in a new tab using middle click and also used to click on a link and expect to navigate not to be hit in the face by a popup, so I have a little greasemonkey script which clears all event handlers from all a elements. Hopefully most of the site functionality will still work.

Pros:

I really like it because I get to know something new everyday

Cons:

I hate what you have done to the links how you hijacked the click and middle click events.
