I like everything, but the click hijack done to the links. I am used to open a link in a new tab using middle click and also used to click on a link and expect it to navigate and not to be hit in the face by a popup, so I will make a little greasemonkey script which clears all event handlers from all a elements. Hopefully most of the site functionality will still work.

- the extension doesn't work, except the home page on the new tab

- the modal of product page loads incredbily slow if it loads

- there's a problem with the plan selection when first going through it. Nothing happens when you select basic or any of the trials. (xhr request goes through, though...). Refreshing the page allows the user to use the ship feature.

Pros:

good ideas

Cons:

really slow

This is in progress, will update along. Currently, with a lovely UI and fast repsonse time, easy to understand yet does not look under featured, it really is anice place to find new apps.

Pros:

Very transparent review control.

Useful search feature.

Cons:

More sections or categories please.

@rrhoover @rstankov @devladinci @chadwhitaker @andreasklinger @syswarren Would it be possible to remove the one line of code from Producthunt.com that makes it behave like a web app when you "add to homescreen" on iOS? The reason I ask because it seems like all you've done is add that one line, and not all the other work required to make it behave like a PWA. 1) It doesn't persist - every time you open the app from home screen (even if it's only been closed for 1 second) it takes you back to the initial state (logged out homepage). 2) Links open in a browser - any time you click on any link, it just opens up in the normal safari browser 3) There is no nav - When you "add to homescreen" it behaves like a native app, which removes the browser "back" functionality. If you were to just remove that one line, then people like me could add the app to homescreen and just still use it as a normal browser. As it stands everytime I want to come to product hunt I need to open a browser and navigate here manually. Before anyone asks why I don't install the app... it's because the PH products are terribly out of sync. The app still only lets you login with Facebook or Twitter, whereas my account is based on an AngelList login, which has been a feature on the web version of PH for quite some time

I installed this app on my iPhone 7 after already creating my account on the website through my chrome app on that very same iPhone 7, I’d used the “create account using google” option after seeing that the first two were “....using Facebook” or “....using twitter” options, which I don’t have an active account for either of the first two options, therefore, I selected the third option of “.....using google” & it was fine, no issues from there, I got it all set up, good to go, accounts personalized, everything. The only issue was when I downloaded the mobile app from the App Store & went to log in to my account. The mobile apps log in only allows me to select either “.........Facebook” or “..........twitter” as an option to log in with & doesn’t even offer me “........google” as a way to log in! My google is how I’d signed up for & created my entire account online to begin with! So how the hell am I suppose to use the mobile app to access my account if I can’t even log in?
