Why is it worth being on Product Hunt every day?

I’ve been here for almost three years, and over time, I’ve started to see this platform as a social network.

I know that many people come to launch their products and, due to time constraints, do not have time to establish a strong presence here, but I’m glad some regular users focus on building the community.

Why do I consider the time spent on PH valuable?

For several reasons:

  • I learn about the latest tech innovations first.

  • The community has a business-minded and friendly attitude.

  • I gain qualified contacts (connections on LinkedIn).

  • Collaborations.

  • Bonus: publicity and visibility when you manage to secure a spot at launch, or when you are active daily.

Have you found a reason why it's worth being on the platform often? What does it give you?

Totally agree, Nika. I’ve noticed the same thing after talking with a bunch of founders lately — the ones who stay active here before their launch usually get way more traction. 🚀

When people already know your name and trust your takes, they want to check out what you’re building. That early attention often translates into your first 100–300 users — and more importantly, into a loyal little tribe that believes in your vision.

So yeah, being active on PH isn’t just engagement... it’s early-stage momentum. ⚡️

@twinkal_shah1 You can get many benefits from here: also reviews, additional users who browse the website later :)

The long-term value of Product Hunt is in the community of builders and early adopters.

We're seeing this today after launching Nyra AI the quality of feedback and strategic discussions is incredibly valuable.

Check out our launch: https://www.producthunt.com/products/nyra-ai

Nika

@ritik_nyraai I have seen ;)

Making products is about deeply understanding your future product position. To predict that better you gotto have all your product position antennas out. Engage radar system. Target locked. Or as the legendary @sandradjajic Always used to say, before she lost the streak 😅, visit Producthunt everyday before breakfast, thats the rule! So what happened, Sandra spill the beans already? 😬

Nika

@sandradjajic  @sentry_co Sandra focuses more on LI atm + preparing for her newborn :))

Totally agree, Nika. Daily PH time gives me pattern recognition on what sticks, fast feedback on positioning, and early beta users. It also keeps me accountable to ship. My routine: 15 min to comment, 5 to DM helpful intros, 5 to track trends. What habit works for you?

Nika

@alexcloudstar I usually comment some discussions, some products, reply, and my own discussion post.

Abdul Rehman

Same here! The community vibe is what keeps me coming back.

Nika

@abod_rehman Finally, a place where people are positive about their entrepreneurial efforts.

For me:

  • Identifying early trends in AI and technology.

  • Understanding what problems people are solving — and how I can learn or benefit from them.

  • As a Product Manager, staying updated on the latest UI patterns and exploring how different functionalities are managed.

  • Networking with like-minded individuals and founders (since I also support founder branding).

  • Supporting and appreciating those who contribute to the broader product ecosystem.

Nika

@vishal_bansal003 Point 2 is crucial. If you spot what people need, you can build the product accordingly, or customise your existing one.

Agree, Product Hunt has become more than a launch space it’s a daily habit now. the streak keeps me consistent, the community keeps me inspired, and every day here teaches me something new.

Nika

@neha_8 You wrote it pretty well :) Stay active, be at sight and your product will be more popular as well :)

Marcin Dudek

Just 'being' isn't probably worth much - but doing something gives a chance to be seen.

Nika

@marcindudekdev yup, activities matter.

Francesco D'Alessio

Ah nice, first time here in this community.

Nika

@francescod_ales Welcome! :) Make it grow, we need more product enthusiasts :D

I love following your journey here @busmark_w_nika - and just watched your youtube video. Very inspiring. So far PH has been hard for me to crack. I have been following others, and engaging but my time is limited. Establishing my own voice here is hard when building a product by myself.

Nika

@norteapp Thank you! :) I hope, you enjoyed it and took several points for the future building. On which platform are you the most? :)

Jose Sanchez

@busmark_w_nika I am spreading myself thin with Reddit, X, LinkedIn and some directories. LinkedIn brought the most sign ups at first but people lost interest from my posts so trying to discover which channel can work bette for me next :)

Nika

@norteapp Thank you for sharing. ATM, I bet on LI so we will see what it will brings :)
