Why a reader app in the era of AI?

You might be wondering why, in 2026, someone would build a reading app with no AI summarization, no auto-generated highlights, no "key takeaways" button.

Because reading is the point. Pura Letra doesn't summarize articles for you. It gets everything else out of the way so you can read them yourself. Clean text, good typography, your own highlights and notes.

I built this because Pocket went away and nothing replaced it the way I wanted.
