Didn't like it. I think they are trying to fit a concept where it doesn't belong. Chatting through a lot of uninteresting news just to find the one worth reading? I'd rather just scan it from the site. If this was smart enough to ask me about what I want to see and bring me something cool, I'd love it. Keep working on it. It's promising.

As a UX Designer, full respect(high-five, hugs) for the PM team at Quartz for this very bold experiment in terms of bringing news in a conversational messaging format. THIS is the kind of things Designers/Product companies must dabble with. This is Innovation. As a user though, it doesn't work for me. :-( I have to keep conversing to get a story which I may be interested in. Instead I would like to see all the stories and then pick one to read more of. Wonder why they didn't keep both the approaches?!

What a refreshing way to distinguish yourselves! Will DEFINITELY stand out from then myriad other news apps I've collected on my phone!! Excited to try it!

Hooked after the first time I tried it. Loved the onboarding experience and the intuitive UI. I believe it is going to become my go to app for news.

Such an easy interface, but nevertheless so brilliantly made! :) Love it!

I really dig the approach for presenting the news, but I didn't like the news that was presented to me; nor did I like the amount (too low)

What an awesome experimentation! I love Quartz and conversational interfaces, can't wait to see it ported to Android

The app and the idea is a big deal. You can say that in theory it works slow and one may be better off just checking the headlines. I can partially agree with it but only if we are talking about professional news - for ex. when you have to be aware of financial market news right at the start of your new day, because you work in finance. However, Quartz is about keeping you aware on the largest scope of news possible. Hence the app makes the experience almost ideal. It can be tiresome to go to a news website. You feel that you could be lost in reading something you don't really need to know. With the app you are getting your news in a form of a chat and while it keeps you aware of all the different stuff going on, the process of choosing what to read and what to skip is much more conscious. So it actually more probably saves you time. Already using it, and I personally believe it will be at least a part of the future media. Thanks again to the makers!
