This would definitely help in sorting and recalling from a large personalised database.

@mssulthan thanks for the message. Would love to get your feedback if you try out the product.

Evak Chan

Congrats! How does Recall support the integration of browsing history across devices and platforms?

Paul Richards

@evakk Hi Evak. Thanks for the question. We have a browser extension that find connections in realtime while you are browsing. We do not look at your browser history and do not send content to our servers (unless you explicitly save something to be added to your Recall knowledge base).

Very cool! I've seen Rewind doing something similar, right? What do you do that they don't?

Congrats on the launch!

Sankari Nair

@rafa_bg Hello! Rewind records everything you do on your device (and day with their wearables) where as Recall does not record anything. We are more an AI knowledge base which now resurfaces content from our knowledge base as you browse!

Rafa Guimarães
@sankari_nair got it! Very cool! Is this knowledge base built as the user browses or is it the same for every user? I.e. does it improve over time?
Paul Richards

@rafa_bg Good question Rafa. Rewind records your entire screen and uses the recordings for context in a chatbot. Recall is more of a knowledge base / note taking app where you can save content - then when you are browsing the web and related content comes up, Recall will highlight those connections for you.

Big congrats, Paul & the Recall team, on this epic launch! Augmented Browsing & Chat with Your Content sound like PKM game-changers. Love the local-first approach can’t wait to try it out!

Paul Richards

@nimaaksoy Thanks a lot Nima. Really appreciate the post

Marios @dessign
Congrats.. your website looks very professional 🔥🔥
Sankari Nair

@dessignnet thank you so much! We were super excited to get that live.

Paul Richards

@dessignnet Thanks Marios. Appreciate it!

Sofiia Kunakh

This looks really useful! How does Recall handle privacy when tracking the websites and content you've visited?

Sankari Nair

@sofiia_kunakh Augmented Browsing is l local first, so nothing leaves your device! There is no tracking / storage of where you go.

Paul Richards

@sofiia_kunakh Thats a great question. We store your entire knowledge base locally (in IndexedDB in your browser) - we then do entity extraction on each webpage you browse to and match those entities with ones that are already saved in your knowledge base this way nothing from the webpage is sent to our servers. Hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you have further questions!

Martin Polasek

Love the idea of bringing memory to the browser. Super useful for saving context across tabs and research sessions. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves! Definitely gonna try! :)

Sankari Nair

@martin_polasek thank you Martin!

Desmond

Turning clutter into insights! 🌟 Does it support non-text content (e.g., YouTube transcripts, podcasts) to unify multimedia learning?

Paul Richards

@desmond_ren1 Thanks for the question Desmond. Yes it supports Youtube Videos, PDFs and other webpages. We are adding support for podcasts from Apple and Spotify in the coming weeks.

Alex Zadorozhnyi

Congratulation on the launch! Loved the video ❤️

Paul Richards

@alex_der07 Thanks Alex. Appreciate it!

Kate Prasniak

Congrats on the launch, @paul_richards1 ! Do you plan to support syncing with tools like Obsidian or Notion in the future?

Paul Richards

@kate_prasniak Hi Kate, thanks for the questions. We might add it in the future but its not planned right now. We do have export to markdown where you can downloaded your entire knowledge based to .md files - then you can import them again to another tool.

Ravenshift Labs

@paul_richards1  @kate_prasniak Hi Kate, checkout https://zanoai.com/. We built it to address the flaws in Recall. Right now it supports a one way sync into Obsidian :)
