HUGE fan of Recharge. It's the unbundling of hotels. I would have used this after overnight flights, to take a shower when I'm not near home, and to catch some Zzz in the middle of the day. Manny + team will not let their customers down.

Seems like a very compelling use case for the consumer, as someone else said it feels like Breather but of course a different set of services being offered. Best is that feeling of having a secret power others don't have. But I'm curious how it works on the hotelliers side, both logistically and economically. A lot of hotels, even larger one's, have outsourced hotel cleaning services that have set hours. What do you do when someone pops in from 8pm-9pm and then another Recharge customer wants in at 11pm that same day in the same room? Or is that once a Recharge customer uses the room it needs to wait until the next day before becoming available?
Harry Cheung
@nabeel Unlike Breather, our supply is not strictly tied to a specific room. Our product is about booking time in any hotel room. We work with our hotel partners to make sure our users have availability when they need it. We have learned that each partner will want to implement this their own way. We are open to talking more offline if you would like to learn more. I can be reached at harry@recharge.co.

@nabeel it reminded me of a Breather for hotel space as well

I would love to have this service in Vancouver, Canada. What are your plans for expansion?
Harry Cheung
@farah_berahman Our current expansion plans will come from our users. We have an idea of where we could go next, but feedback will drive which cities we will launch next.
Emmanuel Bamfo
@farah_berahman Thanks for the interest Farah! Please sign up at recharge.co and indicate you would like us to come to Vancouver and we'll notify you when we're in your area.

It's a good idea.. And I have a question. Is there any plan to contact with guest room or cheaper hotel? I mean not luxury..
Harry Cheung
@status_200_ok Of course, our plans include making all hotels available. We are just getting started!

Sounds very interesting and useful too.....would love to see it go to new places.

@neeraj2197 Sounds good. Where would it be helpful to you?

I've used hotel tonight tonight this way so many times. Especially in London where my family live in the suburbs and I've booked a hotel because i had nothing planned from morning till evening.

Interesting. I like. Any plans to add the ability to transition to a nightly room through the app? Seems like an interesting upsell since some people will come by for a shower/nap and end up wanting to stay for an entire night. It'd be nice to capture some of that revenue instead of having them go downstairs to book a new room. Will there be inventory during SB50? Surge pricing to manage supply/ demand?
Harry Cheung
@jhtdc Great insight. We have fully considered being able to upgrade to a full stay. We will have inventory for SB50. Surge pricing is also a consideration, but we want to introduce it in the right way.

What a great Idea!

Interesting concept! how are you preventing it being used for shady transactions that are otherwise related to hourly rates?

You should partner with Breather.
