Hey Nick! I created an account took a look around. I too have started a designer-focussed network. Throughout the process, I've noticed many networks of the sort. Most profoundly, I've found this:
"Most networks, especially in highly-skilled industries like design, are not imminently concerned with quality but with pumping up revenue by on-boarding unqualified talent."
What are you doing to combat this? Are you or your team personally vetting the talent?
What are you doing to ensure quality for the consumer/business-person in the end?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

It sure looks great, and I might try it very soon, but I can't find a list of the companies you work with... And as Fillipo said, I'd like to have a clear view on your business model before creating a profile... Who's gonna pay? How much? For what specific service?
Great project though, this is certainly a huge market to address!

You are charging both sides of the market place? (developers/companies) Usually market places only charge one side, and in this case, that side would be the employer. I'm also haven't yet encountered a (remote) jobs site that charges the developer. By charging, you lower the amount of applicants each employer receives and slow down potential growth of the site, imo.
If you could shed some light on this, to prove that this is more commonplace than I think, I would be appreciative. Thank you.
Boom. Connect me with those professionals with that AI. I be like, yeeeee!

At least 4 months later and same problems persist. I think this is just a scheme to get user information from created profiles. I was "offered" the opportunity to apply for a job (ostensibly, for free) but now, several weeks later, have no way to tell whether the job is still open, whether it's been filled, whether I should have been expecting a message on the site, there is no way to message the employer (more specifically, I'm 'out' of messages, though I haven't sent one) and the help page is some barebones information with no way to contact the folks at the site themselves. I realize no employer is obligated to contact every applicant, but between the "AI" and the site - I assume - wanting applicants and developers to keep coming back, one would think an automated notice would be appropriate!

Had a _custom domain_ personalized resume site created & hosted using Branded.me, when Remote acquired the latter and converted our "personal websites" into blank, useless Remote profiles 👿 There was no offer to preserve or let us save the files of our static sites.
Pros:
Decent job database
Cons:
Hijacked my website & domain that was hosted on another site by acquiring them & converting it into a Remote profile.

Is this connected to Linkedin in some way?

Is it me or does it seem REALLY odd that for a Work related tool the ONLY Social Media channel for creating an account you need to have isn't there? that is: LinkedIn [and for Europe Viadeo]?
And then you go through the convoluted step of then allowing the download of LinkedIn contacts which you then have to re-import in?!
Until that point, I thought the UI/UX experience was good but that's a $&@#$ in UX terms ;) lol
And then under Experience and Education, it imported incorrectly.. because it imported my Facebook data instead of my LinkedIn data...
:/

@nickmacario I can understand the LinkedIn API export limitation as I didn't know that but I haven't seen there being unreliability with it - i've integrated logging in through LinkedIn for a few clients and haven't never heard of any issues especially lately.

@nickmacario Tried signing up via email. Said it sent me a password reset as it didn't correctly load when auth. w/Google. Haven't received password email (been 20 min) and there is no password reset link on login/signup screen. What am I missing here?
