Hey Product Hunt!
I launched Remotion a year ago on here with great success. Since then, we've been building steadily our tech and community, to the point where I am going to pursue Remotion full-time soon!
One of the biggest complaints and bottlenecks has been render speed - generating so many images and encoding them into a video is computationally very expensive!
With Remotion Lambda, we are introducing an out-of-the-box solution that can distribute a rendering task across dozens of Lambda functions. Leveraging high concurrency, we can render a video much faster, and with Lambda, we can enjoy that it's easy to scale up and down!
The fact that different physical machines can work on rendering the same video required careful architecture from the beginning, requiring that each frame is expressed declaratively and idempotently. It's great to see the masterplan come alive!

Lambda functions in Remotion will drastically change the way we render videos! Thanks for making this amazing product @jonny_burger !

Well, I don't know what React written videos are, but I definitely know that rendering a video is a very slow process. So, reducing it in three times is damn awesome! Good luck, guys. Great idea :)

Remotion is one of my favourite projects ❤️
Congrats on the V3 launch
Wow! I saw the first version of remotion and thought it was really cool. I also had to build a chromium-based renderer that can run in Lambda, so I'm excited to see other people to connect with building similar software!
Congrats on the launch!
