Rewind is the search engine for your life. It’s a macOS app that’s private by design and allows you to find anything you’ve seen, said, or heard.

@brettbejcek@dsiroker Wow!! Just when I thought productivity was saturated... here's a tool I actually NEED.
Please add me to beta. Also, when Windows?
Wow. Super interesting and impressive. Congrats Rewind! (Cool simple name btw)
It would be interesting if you could:
1. Search a term and present it in a beautiful timeline style on when seen etc.
2. Present interesting overviews of the month for particular things.
Obv actually reviewing the data is as important as storing it for memory.
Good luck!
Sometimes you see an idea that seems so simple, you ask why don't we already have this? I love the bold vision, yet its simple implementation, especially how there is no cloud sign-ins required or used to make this work. Magic. Instantly makes me want this across all of my devices. 👏🏻
Woaaah, gamechanger! My LIFE is on my laptop and with work, I'm typing notes in Apple Notes, Slack, Notion, Zoom Chat, my web browser... would love to use this and consolidate everything.
@hheyimheidi Thanks Heidi!! So grateful for your support.

Been in the beta, and wow what an incredible product.
I've looking at where i've been spending my time through out the day, zooming back to previous screens/work, and the search is incredibly powerful.
Definitely recommend checking it out! kudos @brettbejcek and @dsiroker 🚀
@nloui Thank you! We'll move you up the wait list.

@dsiroker@brettbejcek Love the passion behind this tech. I've signed up for early access and I'd love to help in your efforts wherever I can. I believe creating technology that augments our disabilities and weaknesses is such a noble cause!
Your story of "losing a sense and then gaining it back again" connected with me. For 37 years my occasional there-is-something-wrong-with-me hearing tests always came back as "excellent hearing," (😮💨) and yet I'd continue to struggle to comprehend and recall conversations and meetings. I've recently been diagnosed with auditory processing disorder (APD) and I finally feel heard and don't have to struggle in silence.
Because my diagnosis of APD is so new, I still feel I'm in that "losing a sense" phase you mentioned. I haven't found that perfect product or process to gain it back. Rewind however fills me with some hope. I sense there is something about your approach and passion that might help me tackle my APD. So far spoke.app is the closest thing to help, but has debilitating issues that has me looking elsewhere.
A few questions came to mind:
1) Are videos/meetings/recordings transcribed in Rewind natively or does it require a Scribe integration?
2) Is Rewind mostly targeting recall, or will it use its powers to enable comprehension as well? i.e.
• Can I create highlights and notes of the meetings?
• Can I highlight text/transcripts, make notes, add tags or whatever needed to help with comprehension?
• Can Rewind summarize my videos/meetings/recordings?
Thanks in advance for any answers you can provide. God speed!
@s_carlson Wow, thank you so much for sharing your story. I appreciate you and I am so excited to see how Rewind fits into your life! As for your first question, Zoom meetings will work natively without the need for a Scribe integration. And for targeting recall/comprehension, I would love to set up time with you once we get you onboarded to learn more about what you'd like to see in our product!

@brettbejcek Deal. When can we start?
P.S. Thank you for the kind words.
Congrats on the launch. Been using OBS to record screen/self and the manual tagging/cataloging and editing of the videos into something that is searchable is a pain.
Feel like this is a monster opportunity to improve the way we use devices.
Additional benefit I see to this is also that this will dramatically help folks focus their time more effectively. Also can imagine in the future predicting behavior and feedback loops would be incredibly helpful.
I remember when I first got the demo a while back, I wasn’t sure about the use cases that Rewind could help me out in (I was a prior Scribe user and Scribe solved some unique specific problems for me), but rewind was like this unlock that I didn’t know I needed. It was like discovering a hidden super power, or a sixth sense you never know you needed.
