Very interesting idea! I worked for an organization with a distributed team in eight countries and it was very hard to insure everyone. We'd be stuck with some mix of short term travel insurance (not very applicable), offering out of pocket reimbursement ourselves (which was OK if the local costs were low), and a wing and a prayer. This could have been really helpful!
