Ha I like the strat. Utilizing this to make even more products. Clever, I can see a lot being done with this I like it.
William Yin
@carlosarbona Thanks Carlos! Yes we found that people who found a scent they loved, wanted to see it (or should I say smell it) in other products. Scent also has a really big impact on how people feel, so we think there's going to be some interesting things we'll be able to do with this data :)

OK I just ordered and I can't wait.

@sam_marcus_n Ahh no, do they ship to Canada? Doesn't look like it on their site.
William Yin
@hialexlam @sam_marcus_n Hey Alex sorry but we don't ship to Canada at the moment. We hope to expand soon though - so if you sign up for our mailing list you will be the first to know :)

Interesting idea on building the kit. Can we also suggest that I like a specific perfume with specific strength. Also few environment/people are allergic to perfume. Is there any perfume for people who've allergy to regular perfumes ?
William Yin
@haseeb Yes you can always reach out to our customer success team about additional preferences or allergies. They'll transfer this information to our lab :)
Greg Miller
Really interesting idea, and I love the way data analytics could be used further down the road for other products! I know brand is such an important part of why people buy fragrances, so how are you convincing customers to choose a personalized scent rather than a designer brand?
William Yin
@greg_miller Great question, brand is super important - and it's something we're investing a lot in. We're building a brand around being an individual. In fact a big part of brand is breaking the gender stereotypes that have existed in fragrance. We don't have "men's" or "women's" fragrances, we just make something that's "you" (because we know what you like to smell).
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Interesting idea but, how do you know if the fragrance and scents you like match the smell and receptiveness of your skin? The combination of a fragrance + your skin = how good you smell right? ;)
William Yin
@bramk Hey Bram you're 100% correct. Actually this is a big reason why it is so important to try the ingredients on your skin - because everyone will have a different reaction. In fact, when you get the kit, you'll see that each scent is in a roller vial, so you are forced to put it on your skin :)

Pretty cool design...Are you able to disclose who some of your partners might be?
William Yin
@sam_marcus_n Unfortunately we can't disclose who some of our enterprise partners are at the moment ;)
James Campbell
Not so much something I would love but defiantly something worth getting for my girlfriend if you had some sort of gift service.
William Yin
@jcampbell_05 Good idea - we want were thinking of having a service where you could surprise your girlfriend and the kit would be shipped to them. Thanks for the suggestion!
Alex Lam
What if someone wants a different fragrance? I like to change up what I use about every 6 months
William Yin
@hialexlam Hey Alex, actually from your account you can always "request a new fragrance" and we will make something new. That way it never gets boring. Some of our customers actually change up their fragrance every month :)
Olivier Lemaitre
I love the idea behind 2.0! Are there any further plans of personalization in the future?
William Yin
@olilem5 Yes we will be personalizing all sorts of personal care products like soaps, shampoos etc. We've even thought about doing scented spaces as we get more data on what different types of people like to smell :)
